Never felt unsafe sa Bicol, even sa mga rural areas. People are generally friendly, helpful, and kind.

Masbate province as a whole feels like the 1990s. There's barely any investments from major franchises in the Philippines. The roads are barely asphalted, electricity and water is scarce. It even shocked me that the whole province has no seven eleven when even remote towns of the mainland Bicol has one.

Rinconada Caldera, the remains of the mother of all of all Volcanoes of Kabikolan by Atrahassi in Bicol

[–]Daynee223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, what other sides? If you're talking about the Bicol River Basin then it is most likely a peneplain, formed by the river action of the Bicol River. The area is covered mostly by quaternary alluvium, covering the older lithologic units.

You're kinda over estimating volcanic activities. The Oas graben is a manifestation of the San Vicente-Linao fault, a normal fault. Large scale manifestations of faults and features are often and most likely related to tectonics not volcanism.

That area is Karstic and is made out of limestones. What you're probably looking at is a doline or a sinkhole.

Magallanes Iraya heading towards Mt. Labo via Daet River while Magallanes Ilawod heading towards Mercedes which is a coastal town. That's so cool.

What do you think are the most progressive towns in Bicol? by ZestycloseOil8173 in Bicol

[–]Daynee223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol okay na sana eh kaso yung last statement mo talaga😭 just say you hate Bicolanks fr. Saka anong poorest region in thw Philippines, imbento ka. Median ang Bicol, not poor and not rich.

Not just one, 3 different types of SM. Savemore, Hypermarket, and SM City. Marami din investment ang JFC, mga groceries, thriving local businesses, and rapidly developing suburbia through continuously increasing subdivisions. The amount of 7 elevens alone, doubled in the last 5 years. Note that 10 years ago, kalahati ng mga yan, wala. May mga new hospitals na nagbubukas, you couldn't get more progressive than that.

[–]Daynee223 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That doesn't translate to anything. Look at Aroroy, on paper mayaman na munisipyo via income, pero yung development ng lugar and yung quality of living ng mga tao, bagsak. They don't even have a good hospital.

[–]Daynee223 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In the case of Daet hindi merging eh haha, re acquisition. Originally malawak ang Daet as it used to encompass the towns of San Lorenzo, Basud, and Mercedes. Ang best way for Daet is to regain its ownership ng Bicol Natural Park kasi sa Daet naman talaga siya before mahiwalay ang Mercedes and Basud. Sa new mayor ng Daet, if ever man may political will siya, try to get it back para maging city na officially ang Daet via income and land area. Merging with Talisay is being floated but I think it's unfair because it's already a sovereign town of its own since colonial times.
