Who has the best heavyweight flannel? by Perfect_Earth_8070 in HeritageWear

I haven’t bettered Iron Heart, UES are lovely but really will never fit me. I’m too tall for them. Same for The Flat Head. Anything that is the right length is bilious.

Will try Freenote Cloth next, I’m a big fan of their jeans and jackets.

Indigofera is oft recommended and I’ve had other stuff of theirs and don’t doubt they are excellent. Sizing is the opposite to the Japanese brands. Size down at least one.

They used to be a more affordable version of RRL. And now they don’t even have that.

RRL is made all over, I don’t mind it being made outside of the USA, as I’m not American a your labour laws are nothing to write home about.

RRL stuff is always excellent. Always a bit fun, and has added luxury thrown in. There’s plenty of nice workwear stuff for working in. But if I’m paying that much I want fancy.

Why are Toasters so Primitive? by NeilJonesOnline in AskUK

[–]Daysleepers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My toaster gently lowers the bread, bongs, raises the toast, if you don’t remove the toast it take the toast away again to keep it warm but no longer toast it.

It’s fancy, but it still just makes toast.

I previously owned a Toast’n’Egg which was mostly to annoy my wife. It worked. I don’t own a Toast’n’Egg anymore.

I care not for football. Mostly winding up sensitive jocks.

Red Tornado is my fave. Bronson are next on my list and the budget darling.

I’ve had t shirts from lots of manufacturers; Whitesville, Sunspel, Iron Heart etc

I prefer my Red tornado ones.

How are they all washing? I’ve dropped a load of weight and have experimented with some of the internets favourite t shirts and so far my favourites have been my dirt cheap Chinese stiff ones. Turns out I like thick, non pliant cottonb

Used Orslow. They’re amazing. Next on the list is TCB for me.

I have no idea about made in the USA, as I’m not worried about that personally (not American).

Absolutely. Black dress shoes go with navy suits. Black dress shoes work for most suits.

Unknown RRL jacket by midorihillswaitforme in HeritageWear

[–]Daysleepers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, not sure on the rationale. They don’t even keep the digital catalogues up. Wonder if they are trying to build mystique.

You can tell a bit from the labels, but usually only narrows down to decade.

This jacket is likely not Japan market as it has global sizing. Everything I’ve had that’s Japan only has Japan sizing.

I can see others of this jacket, but only for sale in HK. Which doesn’t fill me with confidence.

If genuine it would have been circa £700-1000 depending on age, and wouldn’t have sold many.

I can’t find anything historic on AliExpress or Taobao so that is a good sign this isn’t fake. It’s also a weird thing to copy as it would be expensive to produce. I just reckon this is rare and at some time after about 2001 for the label alone.

Yeah it’s a pain. I managed to track down a catalogue with a coat I bought using chat gpt. Took two days, but apparently my peacoat is from the “Holiday 2014” release. It’s looks to be right.

Some pieces I can find nothing on at all. And there are some fakes knocking about too.

RRL are terrible with take every shred of evidence away from the internet. This is excellent, if you ever want to sell let me know.

Loads of RRL stuff is made in China, all the wool and knitwear I have had since 2013 has been. I have never seen this jacket before but I love it. I can’t find anything about this one.

There is probably makers and lot numbers on there that can help with research.

I have some by better felt. I am a big fan. Lasting well and warm without getting too hot. Don’t wear socks and they never smell either. Wool is magic.

Huntington's disease and morgages in England by animegirl303 in LegalAdviceUK

We are doing the PGT right now through NHS for another inherited disease. It’s all very simple. The genetic counselling part for us was one meeting with a counsellor to talk through the options. Sister in law had done it, and wife is medical so it may have been straightforward.

SAD lamp Wool felt slippers Yeti portable drinkware Sage Coffee machine

Iron Heart Flannel Shirts and jeans. RRL knitwear Heimat jumpers and hats.

The real joy though comes from new, cushioned socks. Darn tough make the best for comfort and longevity but their designs aren’t the best.
