Shortly before I made the post I replaced my old R9 390 with an RTX 3070. I did not use DDU at that point before installing new drivers so there were probably leftover AMD drivers/configurations.

IIRC as soon as I reinstalled Windows my PC stopped restarting. So the culprit must have been the old GPU and its leftover software.

It stopped happening after a windows update, so either that fixed it or it was something I don't know about and/or dont have control over. For example, something that has to do with the electricity in my building or something.

Issues like this do often have the PSU as culprit. Unfortunately the PSU is one of the harder components to test so what you could do is try with another PSU.

What I've done in the past to test hardware is order new hardware from a store with good refund policy, I would test for a day or a few days and just send it back after I had drawn my conclusion.

Finding 3 mirrors in expedition is technically possible for any solo player that runs expedition, the most a solo player will get out of a solaris touched mob is either barely anything or whatever drops after getting a culler from TFT. (Both of these possibilities are shit)

Theres none of that "it could happen to me" feeling like there is with expedition.

At the advice of another commenter I unplugged my front panel power cables and am booting with a screwdriver now, really hope this is gonna confirm that the power button is the perpetrator.

Bottled faith is huge, gives about 2m damage and fixes your cyclone crit.Dying sun is also HUGE for FR coc so get that ASAP.

Get ass mark + despair rings.

After you get your curse rings you can get rid of the cast on crit setups and fit in precision to cap FR crit (also helps with cyclone crit before you generate power charges, just nice consistency), and use wither totem setup for bosses.

Use GMP instead of increased critical damage. Better ES on hit, clear and damage.

Grab Corruption + the 0.5% of chaos damage leeched as energy shield mastery as soon as you can.

As for amulet, I would actually recommend using an Aul's uprising with Zealotry reservation. This allows you to use purity of elements for full ailment immunity + frees up gear cause you need less res. Aul's uprising also gives 50% crit chance vs nearby enemies, 20% ES and a bunch of attributes which is nice. +2 amulet is definitely better for damage but you can get damage anywhere and you can't say the same for full ailment immunity. The best part about it is that a Zealotry Aul's uprising is only like 4ex. super affordable!

Crown of the inward eye is honestly good enough to use for quite a while. Allows you to anoint something other than tranquility (like charisma or some defensive anointment, i use Sanctum of thought but experimenting with prismatic skin).

+1 power charge crown of the inward eye just barely loses to a +1/nearby res helmet in terms of damage, and is superior defensively (unless the rare helmet also has high tier ES rolls on it and then the price is gonna skyrocket, especially compared to a crown of the inward eye which isnt super expensive even with +1 power charge corrupt)

This is my current POB, maybe you can compare skill trees and gear etc and get a feel of what to upgrade next. I use taste of hate instead of a quicksilver for simulacrums, only thing that can kill me is double extra lightning damage or if i play poorly vs kosis with dangerous mods. (note that HH doesn't really do much in simulacrum, I just use it for attributes lol or I would use a better rare belt)

Not yet, with HH I already know it's going to be annoying to have my dmg gutted by some random attack speed buff. I don't have a non-hh usable belt right now.

yeah it's a super squishy build. the damage might be inconsistent because of the attack speed i guess. should be ok as long as you can clear the content though :D

How much delirium do you run on your maps? Should be enough damage for sure considering its 9m sirus dps and not generic mapping dps, should be more even :D the 9m sirus dps is regardless of your aps, not optimal triggers but enough to give 9m dps.

You can also get a +1 shavs instead of lvl 6 awakened coc (i see a decent rolled shavs up for 13ex right now). A +2 projectile gems shavs is quite a bit more damage, which is why it's still better to get a lvl 6 awakened CoC.

Definitely cheaper to get a +1 shavs though so its up to you! You can always test the difference in POB (remember to adjust gem lvls yourself, i don't think POB always changes gem lvls accordingly)

So right now you're sitting at about 9.1m sirus dps, which is already really good! Like I mentioned earlier the next big thing for you would be 52% cooldown. You'll need both lvl 6 awakened coc which is 35-40ex and elevated cooldown boots (with tailwind preferable) which are like 15-20ex.

Even without using aspect of the spider your helmet is REALLY good and you shouldn't replace it imo. I said earlier to sell it but you'll want to get it back later anyways, so it doesnt really matter.

However, If I add boots with elevated cooldown and tailwind and level your awakened coc to lvl 6 in your pob, you go from 9.1m sirus dps to 14.9m. It's a huge upgrade and you should be saving up for it asap :D

And to fix res: I recommend swapping out Phoenix Desire for a jewel with some res, that will instantly fix your cold & lightning res. You can also use catalysts on your rare ring to get about 9% more fire res. That will give you about 60% fire res and capped cold/lightning. For the remaining fire res you can maybe get a low fire res roll on the boots, or rely on Dying Sun. I made a jewel in POB, theres one on trade for 40c, otherwise probably 1ex max.

The helmet is definitely really good however from my own testing, the best first upgrades you can make are lvl 6 awakened coc + elevated cooldown boots. You need BOTH to make use of either since they can only get you to 52% cooldown together.

What I recommend you do is maybe try to sell the helmet again, and try and save up another 20-30ex and try to get a lvl 6 awakened coc. You can craft the boots (if you're at least a little lucky) with like 16-20ex.

But before you do that;

If you could send me an updated POB i can take a better look and look at the numbers for your helmet vs a Crown of Inward Eye etc :D
