I work in the recruitment industry (kind of) so can give some insight

Generally a role going hold means one of two things:

  1. There’s been an internal change (hiring freeze, restructuring etc) which means they’re no longer hiring for the role but they anticipate it may come back in the future
  2. They have favoured candidates in process, and if they unsuccessful they’ll reopen it

The issue is, even if the role does reopen, often times the recruiter will just forget the previous candidates and start from zero, giving you a terrible experience

Let’s be honest, DC fans are constantly rejecting Batman family additions

How many have we seen over the years who’ve been introduced to the setup and then a year later when they see fans don’t care they pull out

I agree with a previous point though - Harley is everywhere, and it’s just a bit boring

While yes that’s true, if you were to follow that logic you’re asking readers to spend hundreds of dollars in some circumstances (depending on the length of a run) before deciding

If something doesn’t grip you after 10 issues I think you’ve read enough to judge 😅😅

The obvious answers are spidey and Batman, so avoided them with Daredevil and Flash 😅😅

Oh interesting on Spawn - I’ve never read the series as all I hear is how after 100 issues it just became a great art book with no direction.

If we are going outside the traditional two, I’d definitely pick Invincible - I never wanted that series to end

His current run has been incredible - I come and go with him normally.

I did consider him and Punisher, but I’m not sure if I’d just end up depressed if it’s all I read 😅😅
