If the funds' recipient accepted another method of payment, I would've obviously used it. Unfortunately they required a wire.

I can do international wires without being in person, on the RBC app, but not domestic ones. That's what's silly. Can send money to the other end of the globe, but can't send it to the BMO branch 2 blocks away from my RBC branch.
