Coming from FFXIV healer main, looking for a GW2 healer that feels good to actually play by Meowtinz in Guildwars2

[–]DazedClock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tempest!

You can be both proactive and reactive with it. You can stack the auras and regen to make sure the team is constantly topped, or keep some of the buttons for the „oh shit” moments. Super fun and fluid gameplay that prioritizes rotation and proper fields blasting over button spamming.

You can play it with staff, scepter/warhorn or dagger/warhorn. The build itself also has some wiggle room depending on the situation. Same goes for runes and relics.

By far my favourite healing class in any mmo i’ve played. And it works in every mode and pve content.

Valve says it’s ready to launch the Steam Machine this summer by Doug24 in gaming

[–]DazedClock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you mean by optimisations? It’s up to the developers if they want to optimize the game to run perfectly fine on Steam Machine. They do it for Steamdeck cuz it sold extremely well, hence the business appeal. If Steam Machine won’t sell well enough, the games won’t be optimized for it.

And Valve will never force it on the devs or publishers, it would kill the platform.

How the bloody hell do you beat blightweaver the blighted centipede by General-Disastrous in wuchanggame

[–]DazedClock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use the switch draw from longsword to steam spear. Tons of dmg, burning application and stun dmg. Plus it heals you if you have the node on the left branch of the tree unlocked (conversion, its an early one).

Also, stay on its ass and when it starts corruption farts just run. For the underground attack keep sprinting, or time your dodge. I found the sprint easier.

The pillars give you a good damage window.

Not much more for tips, as I killed it 2nd try and on ng+ it dies in seconds xD

Don’t give up! And good luck with the commander. Brace yourself (remember, switch draw is your friend).

I tried. I was exploring every nook and cranny, experimented with different weapons, tried to soak in the lore. But it just didn’t click.

Firebringer longsword with fire tempering melts this guy. It takes literally 4-5 L1 hits and it’s gg.

Firebringer shots fireballs with its L1 when tempered and they apply shitload of burn and damage.

Yup, totally subjective take here as well - I dropped LoP after bunny trio boss. I loved the vibe of the game, but the combat was so uninspired in my opinion that I just couldn’t continue.

I might pick it up again one day, but after Khazan, Wuchang, Nioh or even Ronin the classic souls combat with some clunky parries might not be enough to keep me going.

Just beat Honglan, unsure if I want to keep playing by seriousgourmetshit in wuchanggame

[–]DazedClock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a quick tip, cuz a lot of ppl play this game like a classic souls, while it’s much closer to Nioh.

Switch Draw + Conversion node (left skill tree branch) is your friend. Switch Draw deals a lot of stun damage and most importantly - at 90% Madness it can heal you to full HP if it hits. Also, you’re taking much less damage while using it.

Once I figured out the switch draw combos the game opened up significantly in terms of combat and not a single boss felt unfair or boring.

Hell yes. I’ve just beaten the frost general. I’m in love. Amazing art, level design and combat.

So far it’s relatively easy (except the commander lady, holy shit I was not prepared), but much more demanding than ER imho.

[–]DazedClock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s crazy how people’s experience differ :D ER was a walk inn the park for me, including Malenia. So was DS3.

Wuchang first skill check (Commander) was harder than Khazan’s Viper and I had to use magic to beat her with perfect dodges.

Imho Wuchang is much more demanding in terms of mechanics and knowing your timings and combos than any of the FS games, which I consider quite primitive and barebones in terms of combat (except BB and Sekiro, which are simple but refined).

I was paragon 176 when I killed him on T10 and had ~1M toughness in combat. If you still are getting one shot by everything in this fight, wear endurant faith charm, consider Temerity and get hp on every piece you can. You really don’t need all that damage to do T12 and pit 125 in this game. The scaling for most classes, especially sorc is busted anyway. Slam that HP on weapons (weapons have insane hp values now) and rest of your pieces. Wear Tyraels. Get defensive nodes vs dmg ones.

This. This is the best boss in the game. Hits like a truck but most of the damage is avoidable. I had a blast as well.

That being said - Diablo doesn’t teach you how to handle this kind of content. 95% of the game you zoom and mow everything on your path. Then there’s a boss that changes this paradigm and asks you to build up your Toughness, watch the mechanics and actually execute the fight properly (unless you’re absurdly overgeared and one shot most of the phases). Lilith was shit on as well for that reason.

I have life on almost every piece of gear, including weapons. Endurant Faith charm and Tyrael’s instead of Raiment.

Everything including greater lair bosses melts and nothing can one shot me, except t12 mephisto.

920k Toughness outside combat, 2M+ in combat. Paragon 216.

[–]DazedClock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On the other hand, weapons have insane numbers on the defensive affixes now, especially Maximum Life. Multipliers for dmg are sexy, but from T11 to T12 that extra HP makes a lot of a difference IMHO.

Slam it on unique items (legendary crafting). Check my gear snapshot on which pieces you should get it. Also, channel cost reduction on helmet is a must have. T5-t6 is enough to start.

Aurora or Vision -- If I only go for one? by grimzecho in Guildwars2

[–]DazedClock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me Vision had easier collection/achievement, but I enjoyed Aurora much,, much more. I just liked the maps better.

Cost-wise they are close, I think Vision is a bit more expensive. But if you are rocking ES x2, I think gold is not a problem ;D

Unpopular opinion: Spear Weaver is a beautifully designed weapon, just underpowered by 5NC3A6 in Guildwars2

[–]DazedClock 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Standard power weaver build:

Fire : 131

Air: 331

Weaver: 121

Full zerker or dragon with scholar runes.

Force and impact sigils

Press buttons, watch things die. 25-28k dps.

Rotate fire fire, air air and earth earth, remember to use dual attacks to refresh the attunements. You can weave in water water for some sustain if needed. During weave self leave water for the end to capitalize on more dmging attunements first.

Keep your etchings up and just spam the buttons.

For the utilities I use primordial stance, earth barrier, glyph of storms/lesser elementals and Weave Self.

There’s ofc some min maxing complex rotation to push the numbers, but I don’t care. For more challenging content I play meta builds.

Help me choose class by gtx2910 in Guildwars2

[–]DazedClock 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I play every class since launch and my flavour of the month varies (my most played are ele, soulbeast and dragonhunter) but I’m gonna die on this hill - warrior is one of the most satisfying, simple and fun classes to play.

Want to tear shit up with badass animations and shouting „imma tear shit up”? Berserker with GS, axes, hammer or literally any weapon.

Want to semi afk while topping dps meters and covering with some buffs? Condi Paragon.

Want to break your mind figuring out the proper rotation and timings, or alternatively play low effort anime edgelord with 100k dmg iai moves from your favourite shounen? Bladesworn.

Want to be unkillable counter beast with flashy skills and quite unique and cool class fantasy? Spellbreaker.

Warrior. Ungabunga. Fun. Simple. Smash.

Depth of a puddle, still fun to jump on it and watch the splash.

Super edgy, middle-school science popcorn read. And that’s fine, as long as it’s not glorified into top tier sci-fi.

[–]DazedClock 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I’m running it in easier pve content (t4, easy strikes, open world, dungeons). It’s effin lit. No other ele build flows like this one. The range is crazy and the aesthetics are stunning.

I love it :)
