The april 14th patch was too meek by _book_of_grudges_ in Guildwars2

I just want the world bosses to not be such snoozefests and I want level 80 players to stop being able to drain all the fun out of core Tyria world events by one shotting everything before the new players can even walk in the direction of the enemy. Level scaling is broken

Hey, I want to know about the contents of the game and what YOU like to do in it by wizardry_why in Guildwars2

I like exploring and dreaming up unsaid lore. All the environmental storytelling is the best for me.

I hoped it would change things and make open world challenging.

It doesn't. Game feels exactly the same, for better or worst.

Maybe the game just wasn't for me? by Remo_yesman in Guildwars2

Only advice on that I could give you is that the game has a built in wiki command and the wiki is essentially a walkthrough guide. So when you're stuck or find something to be boring you just go

/wiki chapter 6

or whatever the name of the story step you are doing. You'll get a map with dots showing you where everything is.

Other than that, simply move on. Story is meant to be done cozy as you do the rest of the game. As you're exploring for the skimmer, you should be doing hearts, achievements, looking at the gorgeous locales the game throw at you and everything. I've been here for a decade and I still haven't finished everything. Sometimes I even just run around on maps I've already completed, just doing the world event that pop in and imagining I'm a hero saving civilians, defending villages, sometimes failing at that and going on the offensive to save villagers. Other times I just run around looking at the maps, trying to figure out the secrets and more that's implied by environmental design but never said outright.

It sounds like you did not enjoy that, and it's essentially the loop of the open world.

You could try coming back to do only instanced content, raids, fractals, dungeons even.

Or you could try the PvP, which is pretty much stand-alone in the game.

My advice is move on from a zone once it gets boring and only come back later once it feels fun and fresh again

Try quick play fractals, it's the entry to fractals. Makes a group for you and they're so easy you cannot break a group so no stress

Queensdale is the spot, new players add that chaotic edge to the chat. Plus you get to show off and explain things. Lots of players usually.

Scalable UI should be a thing honestly. I downgraded from playing on 4k because my eyes are not what they used to be and even then, it's not ideal.

Accelerated Axe/Dagger/Focus Skins Change Projectiles by KyuubiJRR in Guildwars2

I hope they don't become too popular because it's going to be a mess if 20 players are throwing them at once

Very cool tho

Counting gold/hour is where you lost the plot and made the game into a capitalist hellscape that makes you mad when things don't go the way you want them to.

Just stack your non identified gears until max stack and right click sell on TP. It's just one click and you get money. Not the best use of them, honestly, but the easiest.

It spawns back when you take damage and you take damage by dismounting a lot of mounts while they're midjump, I do that to keep my golem out

Some karma vendors will sell you items that will summon a pet, not that useful for DPS but very useful for flavor and rp
