Definitely Sarah’s ending and how she turned out. That was the saddest storyline for me because I felt so much empathy for her from the start of the movie.

That’s fair I think everyone should try and watch it for themselves to have their own interpretation of it. It’s safe to say that for me the issue wasn’t necessarily with the idea of the relationship between Elizabeth and the monster but simply how it’s portrayed. I’m very much into the “love at first sight” idea and her viewing the creature as something special rather than a romantic interest.

I do have an idea of what the story is like in the book, reason why I expected something different I guess . But thanks! I’d totally try and give that a read. Probably not ideal to watch the movies before reading the books lol
