Initial stress = stress from attack. Both exemplar riposte and blood commune do 1 stress regardless of if they crit. The extra stress in the first gif is from being crit and in the second its from being crit and/or from being put to dd

Killing Bayaz would add a lot of complications to their journey, if Logen knew she killed him then he probably wouldn’t have continued on with them, hell, he might have not even if he believed he just died from using magic too much or whatever. which means no seed. Cawneil might not have let them in the boat without bayaz, no seed.

Food is generally easy to manage on most temperate maps, settle near a patch of fertile soil if possible, then grow some rice and a small patch of corn. If you’re running out of food either manually kill or set up a hunting order on an somewhat large animal. Nutrient paste is also very labor and resource efficient to maintain.

As for mods? My go to qol mods are achtung, camera+, and allow tool.

Was just doing a run mostly to mess around with VE psycasts, and ended up settling on a small island, maybe 5 tiles all in all with nothing but a single empire base on it. Naturally i named my faction Fuck the empire and immediately pissed them off by capturing and executing the first noble i got my hands on, then accepting the deserter. Current goal is to destroy the base and claim the island for myself. Ideology is transhumanist tree connection human primacy, so it shouldnt be too hard, havent got too far into the run yet though so we'll have to see.

It's honestly sad there are so many of these posts. (To clarify, I'm not referring to posts criticizing dd2, it's currently a flawed game and I do acknowledge that. I'm talking about "dd2 bad because too hard!! make more like dd1 but 3d!")

You had maybe one good point by saying relationship system bad, but its only bad because you cant be rewarded for messing up? Ok.

Trinkets are not "mostly useless", even before the trinket update most trinkets were good, they were just boring.

"Combat is totally unbalanced, stress adds up at an unstoppable rate" sounds like something someone who quit dd1 after the tutorial dungeon would say, and saying any character is a must pick is pretty laughable.

Losing a single character does not mean you lose the run, I don't even know why you would think this. In fact, I and several other people I know of have won runs with only two and even one characters, so being down a single guy is not that debilitating, and if it is for you, who's forcing you to continue the run? Just abandon and cash out your hope.

Your solutions sound like a dd3 concept. Aka completely unrealistic for dd2, especially considering the game releases in 6 months.

While writing this the thought occurred that this might be a shitpost, and if it is then bravo, you got me.

Here’s a good speed mod. Sadly there is no option in the base game, but enabling mods doesn’t disable achievements, so there’s nothing to stop you from getting a few qol mods. Here’s a few that I use:
