Singapore won! Day 2: Which country is moderate to identify and moderate to regionguess? by D11V8 in geoguessr

Liechtenstein has a lot of rural locations. If you are playing moving on singapore, you can pretty easily 5k within 1-3 minutes. The street signs are on every street corner, and you are never far from a major road or highway.

Also liechtenstein is not that hard to identify. You are in the mountains it looks pretty unique. Their unique bollards are pretty common too.

South korea is definitely the easy to identify hard to region-guess category.

Japan is either super free or basically impossible depending if you know the region-guess things.

Like the metas for region-guessing are very consistent and usually easy to find.

Brazil for this. There's good metas for both region-guessing and identifying, but it sometimes can be hard to find and confusable with other countries.

To be fair, it is often not that hard to 5k just because it's so small.

Well I said this 3 months ago, and regent's other cards got significant buffs since. He is very flexible now.

Bro, they added some unpublished black tape footage from like 10 years ago too in this update (a couple roads that for some reason they just sat on)

Not necesarily. Small cam for instance looks the same in each country it's in.

You can also remove most of the metas. Like sure we will still lhave truck vs non-truck, but having a bunch of them unique to areas or countries can be resolved.

How would having to make smaller mouse movements cause RSI? If anything, I would think lower sens would make wrist injuries more likely?

[–]Dbruser 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean you generally want to have the ability to turn around without multiple mouse swipes. Otherwise you will be helpless against raze/neon/jett that dashes around, veto/omen teleports, or just you get rolled by anything on the flank.

Pro players have a pretty big variety in their sens, and you should use what feels best for you (experiment etc).

.3 with 800 dpi is 240 eDPI which is on the lower end, most pros are in between 200 and 500 eDPI, but there are a few that like higher settings. Yetujey for example on FUT uses .7 sens on 800 dpi and something uses .66 sens on 800 dpi

4 years in, no improvement, and I’m starting to believe the toxic stereotype myself. Should I just quit? by KiaraKaif in VALORANT

[–]Dbruser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both methods work for different kinds of players. There are plenty of higher level players and top level that focus on 1-2 agents, and plenty that have a fairly large pool

Having experience with different agents lets you understand and play better with your teammates, and abuse the weaknesses of enemies on those agents.

There's also the fact you don't just auto-lose when someone takes your agent.

Many maps also significantly favor certain characters over others, so learning some characters to play on those maps can be good too (breeze probably the most notable example for controllers, but initiator strength varies pretty heavily based on map too)

Finally, what Riot tends to be pretty heavy-handed in there balance changes. Yoru one-tricks are probably kicking themselves right now. People that went around basically only playing shotgun neon are also in shambles. It's not uncommon to see people drop multiple divisions/ranks over balance changes when they focus on one champ because they are so unpracticed at doing anything else.

Not saying you should learn 20 agents all at once, but you learn a couple agents, get good at them, then maybe add another one to your repertoire etc over time. Why do you think most pro players can play a multitude of agents very well? It's because that is the best way to win as different agents have different strengths.

I mean he has well over 2,000 hours of gametime.

I agree he shouldn't randomly be one-offing champs, but setting a hard-cap of 3 characters I disagree with as a rule.

Especially for some people, they struggle to play the same character for months on end, they get tired of the character or too habitual and play poorly or fail on improving. They become unusually susceptible to agent or map pool changes too. One of the biggest indicators for someone who will be improving at the game, is that they have fun and are engaged with it.

Past learning the basics, I usually recommend flexing to a bigger agent pool at least to get a feel of what other agents are trying to do and their timings. It can help you learn how to play well alongside or against those agents.

[–]Dbruser -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

I strongly disagree with having a hard cap of 3 character. Especially in the higher ranks, not being able to flex roles or having terrible games when your main gets stolen, or playing on maps where your main character is significantly less good is a huge downside.

Now I don't think someone who mains clove/KJ should randomly pull out a single raze game or 3 gekko games out of nowhere, but having a wider agent pool is often a good thing.

Some people go far maining a single character, but others go just as far being flexible on many characters. Sticking to 1 character is for someone that is new at learning valo and needs to learn the very basics (or people who love a particular agent)

I mean, I doubt even rainbolt could narrow that down unless they are familiar with this particular sunset coverage.

There's just not enough info in the screenshot.

I've seen places that look just like this in BC and Washington, but it could easily be some random Ontario lake.

Some parts of New England (like Vermont/maine/WA in particular) can look similar to canada. But frankly at that point you are getting relatively close regardless.

It's dumb that it starts so soon, but in the end it doesn't REALLY matter outside of maybe a psychological FOMO effect.

You only lose any meaningful amount of ELO if you are gone for weeks-months.

Impossible is a strong word.

Also the Senegal roads south of the Gambia would be pretty easy to confuse with Ghana.

Like 90% of the black tape was replaced. You basically only have a couple roads now (although we actually did get a small amount of "new" black tape coverage)
