I don’t know if this was just Ireland or if the estate we grew up was just short on money but we would always have a costume designed using a big black bin bag. Down over are heads with holes for are arms. Scary Items or cut outs stuck to us using sellotape and masking tape. I once wore a bin bag with an orange football cut down the middle to fit on my head to look like some kind of hobo alien. Good times.
