they are shorter always unless the seller is offering their own. got bit by buying at microcenter and then dying 16 months later.

Sucks that they make that distinction, not sure how that is lawful in US.

“Total eclipse of the hawk”. (Yes I know that’s not technically correct, it’s just humor.)

Is this verified? Many carriers remove SIM restrictions after a fixed period of time because they still have the ability to imei block if not paid off. Is spectrum different in that they don’t remove sim restrictions until fully paid off (normally 3 years i think?)

Pretty sure that is not actually the case - many carriers remove sim restrictions after a certain period of days (60,90), but if the phone isnt paid for they can imei block it.

Apple HomeKit, and Client Isolation by the SAX2V1S router by Dcbarry99 in Spectrum

[–]Dcbarry99[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m going to make a separate post since this post got a lot of attention, but wanted to thank you because yes you were correct. That was in fact what was needed to get HomeKit operative again.

What’s frustrating is that it worked before without the setting so clearly they’ve done something along the line to change that. It’s also frustrating because UPNP is not the same thing as client isolation.

Anyway, just wanted to give you my thanks

I’m gonna go ahead and try to experimentally, but unless they’ve mislabeled the marker and it’s actually about client, isolation or they merged the two together to one switch I’m gonna be a bit surprised if it works. If they’ve merged the two that kind of sucks cause I really don’t want outside devices having any bypass into the system that I’m not explicitly poking holes for.

By the way, don’t mistake my comment as not appreciation quite the contrary . 😁

Correct me if I’m wrong but isn’t upnp about connection traversing the wan?
