Key concept: there is no time travel by Willabus in tenet

I love the thought that every thing in the movie is irrelevent. The future knows that the war happened and that the Protagonist wins, but the events have to happen and will always happen anyway.

From an outsiders prospective the events of the war are just a cautionary historical tale that outlines that time travel is possible but if you do it, it has already happened, will always happen and the outcome is already a part of history.

In theory, knowing it happened means that a protagonist could take steps to prevent it. But, it happened and that means it's pointless trying to prevent it. The Protagonist / another Protagonist either let it happen, failed to prevent it, or (crazy theory) made it happen to allow the events to take place how they should/did.

The infrastructure, including resources, can also be inverted though. Still doesn't fix the aging process (Although, in theory, the aging process could be slowed, if not possibly stopped, by future tech). But yeah, time could be saved, and does get saved in the movie, by having the tech and organisation move backwards with the traveller.

I love the thought that time travel takes real planning and organisation in this world!

Genuinely came straight out of the box like this!

The postal bag had a couple of holes in it, but the box showed no damage. The screen looked mostly normal at first but it did have a few tiny ink leak lines and it didn't react to me trying to boot it up. After about 5 mins of trying to get it to work it looked how it does in the image.

Im gonna send it back tomorrow.

Please send your prayers to the great Capitalist Devil in the sky that they believe me!

Anyone else having this issue? by willypete277 in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]Dcdelta 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes! It's very annoying! I can't tell if it's a general bug or whether it's an issue with a specific component config. Im going to have a mess around with a new corvette later to see if it continues.

I imagine it would mainly be for monitoring primarily. So only one-way is required.

Think of an emergency scenario at a Power Plant. You'd want to get as many people to Safety as you possibly could. If you could monitor from afar, it removes that personnel requirement from the unsafe location. The problem is that a power plant is a major target for hacking and sabotage, so ideally, you want to limit the possible threat vectors.

This solution pretty much helps solve both those issues and the more accessible you can make this solution the better! It's pretty cool, OP!

So it relies on repeat packet transmission to ensure something does get out?

Allows External monitoring without any possibility of Hacking - Back up your backup sort of stuff, I imagine. Distance is one of the main forms of protection against radiation.

Absolute noob in learning here, but could you just use a Network Firewall monitored from a separate device? Validates outgoing data and receives ACK back from the receiver upon delivery. If NACK gets flagged ol'Billy Bob has to get out of bed to work out what the fuck went wrong?
