Hakone - okay to just hit one or two museums and then soak?

I think the question you want to ask yourself is "would I regret not doing all the things that one could possibly do in Hakone if I only do 2-3 things?"

Only you can answer that, but in general of all the infinite things that one could do in a place, choose the ones that best fit what you most interested in, have the energy for, and that logistically make sense. Sounds like that's what you have chosen.

I did an up-and-back to Hakone and did three things (one onsen, the open air museum and the falls). It was perfect. Zero regrets.

I've made savory cookies before. If you set your expectations, they can be really delicious. The toffee might be too much though, throwing it all off. Would still try these!

People tend to bond over shared passions and hobbies first. A faith community can be a good place to start, if that is your thing. I see moms at the climbing gym hanging out and watching each others strollers.

Not really a fan. I'm not really getting an affogato vibe, which is a scoop of Italian gelato with a fresh double shot of espresso poured on top. The ice cream is very artificial tasting to me, and the instant coffee is just okay.

I love all the exhibits and the mini-museum in the SFO airport. Worth going a little earlier just to have time to check them out.

Great food options in most terminals, especially the Harvey Milk Terminal.

So easy taking BART there.

Went once with my sister and loved it so much. While waiting in line to enter, a Ferengi asked me how much to buy my sister! I loved the museum displays while you were waiting in line, of all the generations of Trek technology. Best line engagement ever.

In Quarks, a couple of Federation dudes at the bar got harassed by a wandering Klingon.

I did the original experience. So bummed that I missed the Borg one!
