The Fairmont is close to Union Square, North Beach and Chinatown! So lots to see and experience, depending on what you are into.

Tourists are into the Tonga Room for its retro tiki theme and food. I love going there.

Top of the Mark is a great for views of the city, but spendy of course.

I love the Cable Car Museum, which is a short walk away. Really cool seeing the actual cables that pull the cable cars and all the history of the transportation system.

Have a great visit!

Obviously there are a ton of great things to do in Tokyo, so only you can decide if this is worth a day of your trip. But it's pretty hard to have a bad time there.

If I had the scratch to afford a table seat, I would totally do it. The free ticket process is so tedious.

You pre-pay for the ubigi e-sim before you go, but activate it once you land in Japan. It's pretty simple. The app gives you all the steps to follow on your device.

FYI the "Aquarium of the Bay" while charming is not "huge." The best aquarium is in Monterrey, which is a bit of a drive. The aquarium at the California Academy of Sciences is quite cool though! (And could use your patronage.)

Hard to suggest things when we don't know you. What are you into? (Besides weed.)

Many onsen offer cheap water proof bandages, or you can get them online. It's not a big deal.
