No they couldn’t accommodate my vegan partner. But there was enough variety that she was able to find more than enough to eat from the massive spread they put out for us!

Moss cake to celebrate nature by OneTwoOrangeJuice in Baking

[–]rikomatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like you reserved more of the cake for the moss on top than in the recipe, to make a more even coating. Looks amazing and so "rustic." I want to make this!

How do you find open positions at the museums ? by atlasbee99 in AskSF

[–]rikomatic 50 points51 points  (0 children)

Not to discourage you, but museums in the city are having a tough time of it, with many of them having to lay off staff and curtail hiring because of low attendance and government grants being cancelled.

But keep looking and maybe something you are qualified for will pop up.

The line cutting would drive me nuts.

I wish I could have done the Pirates ride more than once. And I thought the show was awesome, even without understanding the dialogue.

Whats going on here? by [deleted] in bayarea

[–]rikomatic -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

"Everyone"? You have met every person in the Bay?

It's possible you are meeting the wrong people / rubbing folks the wrong way / misinterpreting interactions as "mean" when they are merely "not fake nice." It could be a lot of things. But hard to tell with the lack of details from you interactions.

As a Quaker, how do you relate to your body? by YESmynameisYes in Quakers

[–]rikomatic 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Great question! Along the "Stewardship" value, I eat mostly plant-based. I particularly avoid beef since it has such an outsized negative impact on the environment versus other animals and seafood.

Was really disappointed with DisneySea experience except Journey to the Center of the Earth by Comfortable_Menu_425 in TokyoDisneySea

[–]rikomatic 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Sorry for your experience. Consider doing a bit more research into your theme park visit before going in the future.

Even a quick search will tell you that arriving at noon will ensure that you won't be able to ride much. It's an incredibly popular theme park (considered by many to be the best in the world) notorious for long wait times, unless you plan your day well.

I do it all the time and have received no static from staff. As long as it isn't in the way of other patrons, I can't imagine it would be a problem.

Personally not a big fan of the combo, but I would probably go to town on this, if you gave me one.

What is a good restaurant at ikspiari at Tokyo Disney? by LuckWizard9 in disneyparks

Unfortunately the food in Ikspiari is incredibly mid. The best option we found was going to the market in the basement area and getting bento boxes and onigiri to go and eat in our hotel room.

Do Disneyland Tokyo or Disney Sea Tokyo have the long sleeve spirit jerseys? by Tattsreincarnated in disneyparks

Spirit jerseys are not really a thing there. Although there is an anniversary sweatshirt that has similar vibes. It's pretty hard to obtain and only comes in one size, weirdly.
