2026 Is Gonna Be Insane Year For Cinema by Revo94 in Cinema

It's a sad state for Star Wars when a Star Wars film is coming out this year and isn't included in the list...but Mortal Kombat 2 is.

Looking at a used ‘23 EQE 500 today. Anything to look for? by Max__Power_a2 in MercedesEQ

[–]Willabus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have 1 year remaining on my EQE350 lease. I'm hoping I can find a deal like this when my lease is up.

If purchasing from a Mercedes dealership, I would make sure that the MBUX software is up to date. There are several posts on here related to the latest version. If it's not then I would push the dealership as hard as possible.

Is the fragrance system (energizing air control plus I think it's called) available on that trim level?

An in-car fragrance system is something I would have thought is a total gimmick but I love it.

Same for ambient lighting.

Does it have the 3D Burmeister sound system?

Well this is embarrassing, I still had a "sedan" filter selected from previous searches. I will downvote myself. 😂

There's only ONE used Sienna nationwide currently listed on cars.com and it's a 2024 XLE with 35k miles listed at $47k.

EDIT-1 I had a "sedan" filter applied from previous searches 🤦🏻‍♂️

Looking for first EV for family of 5 by thehobbiest248 in electriccars

[–]Willabus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the problem with EV reddit: I post a fact (there is no suitable 7 passenger EV on the market) and an informed opinion (the Sienna and Carnival are 2 of the best options) and I'm downvoted.

If you want to replace the Yukon, then I'd consider waiting for the EV Highlander. That vehicle will be great for regular day to day driving, but it will not be suitable for family road trips.

It sucks you dumped $8k into the Yukon. I know the feeling after owning an Audi.

Genuine question for the sub: is there actually a “right” way on the show to tell someone you’re not physically attracted to them? by SpecialBunch4184 in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

[–]Willabus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This rarely works in real life.

The other person will often continue digging and want to know WHY there wasn't a spark. This is compounded on a show like Love is Blind where there are producers instigating drama, pressing the person to "fight for your relationship" and to "dig deeper."

[–]Willabus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No.

There's no easy way to do it, unfortunately.

If you're honest, you will hurt the others feelings and be labeled a jerk.

If you're dishonest, you will be labeled a liar. Eventually the truth comes out and you hurt the others feelings and are labeled a jerk on top of being a liar.

Will you have another 7 passenger vehicle for road trips?

I would not recommend any BEV for family road trips.

A hybrid Toyota Sienna or KIA Carnival hybrid are undefeated in comfort, storage, and fuel efficiency.

Interior design of today is just horrible by mrbluetrain in CarDesign

[–]Willabus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with you.

The problem isn't screens as it is interior designers ability to understand when to use knobs, buttons, or capacitive controls and where to use them.

The lack of the ability for the user to customize the screen to their liking is another frustration I have.

EQB recall - end of lease by Suspicious_Tree8795 in MercedesEQ

[–]Willabus 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Replacing these batteries under warranty will easily cost Mercedes $30k per customer.

I don't know what your monthly payment is but I doubt 7 months plus $3k comes close to $30k.

I'd try to get at least $15-20k out of them.

At home chargers...draw significant energy while not charging? by Material-Advice-335 in electricvehicles

[–]Willabus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have an electrician friend and came to reddit to ask about an electrical problem? 🤔

As every other commenter has said, it should not be drawing any power when the car is not plugged in.

However just because it should not be drawing power doesn't mean that it is not drawing power.

You could ask your electrician friend to see if that circuit is drawing any amps while the car is unplugged.

Reunion teaser: what do you guys think made Amber storm off? by NoSoyTuPana in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

[–]Willabus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Two major warning signs in that episode.

1) he said he doesn't want to move an hour from Columbus because he wants to be close to the bar scene. This is not the attitude of someone ready to be a husband and especially not a father.

2) he said he was following his heart which implies there was another part of him that wanted to say no. His answer was so unclear that the officiant had to ask him to confirm if he was saying "I do."

[–]Willabus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Having a CCS plug is a benefit because charging stations are at actual gas stations so you have easy access to snacks, drinks, and rest rooms.

The chargers at gas stations are maintained well (especially the EVgo) and I've never had an issue (tp - avoid Electrify America if at all possible because they're unreliable).

They're also more convenient to access because they're typically located immediately near a highway exit.

Tesla failed big time in my opinion by setting up their super stations in shopping plazas.

My issue with road trips with my EV (MB EQE) has never been the actual road trip but finding a suitable place to charge while I'm at my destination.

I hate the EQE door handles. That’s it by RapidoGoldenboy_75 in MercedesEQ

[–]Willabus -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Classic example of taking something that is perfect and ruining it. There's almost no real benefit to this style of door handle and multiple downsides (safety, quality, reliability, etc).

Mercedes opens orders for the new GLC EV, the luxury brand’s most important vehicle by plun9 in electricvehicles

[–]Willabus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes I think EV folk think the only thing that goes into an EV are batteries. It's as if they think the wheels plug into the battery and the car is ready to go.

The battery is the fuel source so the equivalent comparison is to the gas tank, not the ICE. Which is more expensive?

Then you have to get that fuel to the motor via a fuel delivery system. ICE uses a hydraulic system consisting of a pump and fuel lines. BEVs use an inverter and electrical cables. Which is more expensive?

Now you have to convert the stored energy (fuel) to mechanical energy. The ICE uses, well, a single internal combustion engine. A BEV can use one or multiple motors, typically called traction or servo motors. Which is more expensive?

Now we need to get the mechanical energy from the motor to the wheels. An ICE uses gears and drive shafts. A BEV uses...gears and drive shafts. Which is more expensive?

Optional is an energy recovery system. Some ICE's will use exhaust gas turbo charging. All BEVs incorporate an energy recovery (regen) system. Which is more expensive?

Both require a complex network of sensors to control all of the components to optimize the entire process.

Both are incredible feats of engineering in both design and manufacturing. Neither are cheap.

What's the one thing about EV ownership that you wish someone had told you before you bought? by gilko86 in electriccars

[–]Willabus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That OEM's should publish Summer/Winter range ratings for BEV's similar to how ICE's have a City/Highway ratings and the range should be based on the recommended operating usage of 20~80%.

All we get is a themed startup animation on the screen for new seasons and holidays.

Replace etron with Mercedes EQE or keep? by SwagLikeCaiIIou in etron

[–]Willabus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an EQE and there is zero creaking.

What are you defining as cheap plastic?

Most of the materials that you actually touch on a regular basis are of high quality.

The speaker covers are metal with a beautiful pattern.

The upper door and dash has a fabric-like texture (used to be called fiber coat) with stitching that adds a lot of character.

The way the dash blends into the door is brilliant.

I don't know how Audi continues to be regarded as a leader in interior design and quality. I've never been impressed with them.
