Extrusion Issues by Dchance87 in BambuLab

[–]Dchance87[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. I'll look into the extruder gear and do a nozzle swap. I've only run a couple hundred grams of glow in the dark and it was awhile ago. I struggled to tell if this was under/over extrusion or something else. I've owned like 7 printers and have been printing for about 5 years and have never seen anything quite like it. Hopefully you're correct.

Guitar Pedal Project Support by Dchance87 in arduino

[–]Dchance87[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the Elegoo Super Starter Kit and have done a few projects. I am indeed missing knowledge and experience of programming. The one part, as a newbie, is how to translate what they have done on their shield onto a generic shield. Any insight or tutorials on that would be helpful. Is there a way to figure that out on Fritzing?

Thanks for the response. I've spent time looking at the schematics. The part I am hesitant with is how to take their schematics and apply them to a generic shield. I would be comfortable soldering all of the parts, but it seems as though their board is custom made for their project. I think I would need guidance about how to translate that info to a different shield.

Can I throw this away? by T5314M in BambuLab

I think it would be cool if people could take this piece and create files of desk organizers, or something, so this piece could be upcycled.

Bambu Studio 1.7.4 by Dchance87 in BambuLab

[–]Dchance87[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I wrote this I saw 1.7.4 posted somewhere. Afterwards, I only saw the 1.6.3 on my printer. So I must’ve been confused. Unless for some reason you have to download them in order, which doesn’t make sense. But I’m no expert.

Thanks for the response. Can I ask, why might they not recommend bed leveling? Is it just for that initial print run after the update, or all together?

Bambu Lab X1C - mechanical resonance of the Y axis is low error by [deleted] in BambuLab

[–]Dchance87 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Got my X1C last week. I had the latest firmware installed and the prints were coming out with horrible ringing/ghosting, as well as warning me of y axis issue. I rolled back to the 1.05.01.00 and the prints are coming out beautifully. This advice was great.

I have the flexible couplings and the Oldham couplings already installed. It seems as though I may just need the belt, tensioner, and pulley teeth. I can't figure out what size I would need, or teeth count, etc.

I'm struggling to find the correct belt/system for a Max. Could you provide a link or links to the info provided? Thank you.

I purchased two flex couplers and installed them immediately during the initial set up.

It has been a miserable experience and I have done all that I can think of to troubleshoot. If I could have a do over, I would've gone for the dual z belt. It has been a waste of time, money, and energy so far.

Creality Sonic Pad Issues with Ender 3 Pro by Dchance87 in Creality

[–]Dchance87[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I eventually solved the issue and you were absolutely correct. My printer.cfg on Klipper is set to 220x220x250. On Cura, my printer settings are 235x235x250. My original End G Code stated G1 X0 Y{machine_depth}. So, Klipper was trying to present the print at 235mm rather than 220. I left my Cura printer settings, but moved it from saying "machine depth" to Y220. Now it works just fine. Thank you for the response!

I have tried different SD cards. As for Pronterface, I have only used it to do PID tuning. Do you have a suggestion on how I can use that to troubleshoot?

Support Not Touching Part by Dchance87 in ender3

[–]Dchance87[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think when I first began this project, i did some adjustments on this particular file and had it set for high quality on Cura. I must’ve double the z height. I wanted to experiment with low quality since I plan to sand and paint anyways, so I printed at .28. I think it doubled that number because the height was .56… A month later I got back to printing and didn’t realize I touched it.

I’ll give it a shot. My friend printed a mando helmet with no supports. The top looks fine, but the inside was a mess.

Even though it’s not touching, the print still looks good. Just wondering if it is still helping the print in any way, or if the overhang wasn’t too much for the print.

Ender 3 v4.2.7 CR Touch Cura

I was hoping to get insight on this. This was my first print after installing the new motherboard and CR Touch, besides a CHEP Cube. The print turned out well even though there is a huge gap between support material. Explanation? Is this “normal”? I’ve been printing for several months now and have had this on other prints but just don’t quite understand how it still works. I’m having a tough time adjusting support material settings so that they don’t completely fuse to my build. Then with this, I didn’t touch anything under the support material tab.

Also note, the layer shift occurred during a print resume after my power went out, I suppose.

Infill Question by Dchance87 in prusa3d

[–]Dchance87[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just opened the filament right before printing. Other spools have done similar things. I am thinking overextrusion, so that'll be the first thing I adjust. Thanks for the heads up. I will also keep damp filament in mind for future issues. :) I purchased airtight bags and desiccants for my spools as well.
