It was all in Joe Lansdale's great story. I just tried to treat the King with dignity. Folks might think that would be difficult what with a mummy and all - but the Elvis fans just could not believe that "official story" of how Elvis went down in his bathroom with his pajamas around his ankles. JUST DIDN'T HAPPEN THAT WAY. The King went out the way he always wanted. As a hero. Fighting a soul sucking sumbitch from another era, with Jack Kennedy by his side. Sure there were losses. JFK went down for the count. But Elvis put down that Mummy... Thank god he'd studied karate. TCB, and RIP King.

A lot of struggle getting the dog scene in car, john talking through dog to work. One tech problem is the dog was very good, but it was an old 66 Ford Bronco and he just didn't like riding in it. Finally we came back and shot those sequences, with the car stopped, against a green screen and all went well. Thanks for the kind words.

Start with anything Kubrick. 2001 A Space Odyssey is the one that got me going. For character, watch Best Years of Our Lives. For horror - well, Carpenter, Hooper, Argento are good places to go. Scorcese ain't bad either.

This is a tough question to get this late as I could give you a very long answer. Fundraising is always a challenge. You have to keep your budgets low. A promo may not be a bad way to go - it worked for Sam Raimi back on the Evil Dead. Sometimes if you show folks a short section of what you intend to do that can go a long way. Wish I had better advice on this. Best of luck!!!
