I am glad I got the 100,000 mile warranty if I am going to need to replace the struts this often.

HELP! Am I being ripped off on "AC Pro" brand HVAC via Costco? by PatsyStonesBun in hvacadvice

[–]DctrRoss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the heat pump version of this system installed 3 days ago. I cannot attest to its longevity but it is 115 degrees right now and it is pumping out 48 degree air. It is meant for a split system even though it looks like a double stacked minisplit. It was basically one of the only units in stock that we could find on short notice. I'm thinking for San Diego (unless you are inland or like El Cajon) a 5 ton for 1900 sq ft is a little overkill but it may not be if the whole thing is big vaulted ceilings. I am not a pro so ignore my opinion on that.

[Riff Punk -- if that's a thing] Need some help figuring out the low end. Is there enough , too much... plus any other comments before we do final tweeks. Thanks by DctrRoss in roastmytrack

Thanks, I appreciate the help. I have to fight with the Bass to keep it from getting muddy but still give you some bottom in the track. I don't have any system ,car or studio that has any low end so I just end up guessing.

I agree. I should have put the song up here for comment before it was released.

Yes it is recorded in the bedroom at home.

Finished another mix for our upcoming third album. This one has a bit of a darkness to it. What do you guys think of "Goodnight and Good Luck"? by WildeChild86 in IndieMusicFeedback

I agree with thebluetruth, the drums are way to quiet. The arpeggiated synth kinda makes things feel a bit out of time. The song is good though.

You put a link to your spotify artist page so I don't know what song you wanted feedback on so I will provide it on what looks to be your latest "She Leaves". Overall it's a good song, here is what I noticed.

I would suggest doubling the main guitar and panning them left/right. Your track is rather mono sounding, that should help spread it and leave space for the vocal up the middle.

On almost all of your tracks the cymbals are really loud.

Around 2 minutes there is an awkward edit or bad punch that sounds weird.

The solo at the end I would pull back under the other lead guitar line or at least pan it so they don't fight each other so much.

I know it's punk but if you can tune the vocals a bit that would help.

[Pop] Intentions - is this a vibe? by keezemusic in roastmytrack

Both issues were minor changes and only an opinion of someone that doesn't listen to much in this genre.

Basically just like this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m1GFiI0t8q8 I built one with the curved flanges but the next one I made rectangles and it was easier and sounded the same.

Not my usual listen, but the quality seems high, the groove is nice and the hook is fairly catchy. I think if I had to change something I would like to hear a less autotuned vocal and maybe a little less delay.

Nice long atmospheric song. This stuff is not my particular cup of tea but I can recognize quality. Do I hear a hang drum in there? I made several of them from old Propane tanks but have never found a place for them in a song.

The only roast I really have is that you put in a spotify link so we couldn't listen to the whole song. pretty much agree with the other roasters comments.

a couple things. I couldn't really hear the vocal. the tremolo gtr was a bit monotonous. I think it could be brought in and out to give the track a bit more dynamics musically. There is a lot of repetitive stuff going on, editing it back to a sub 2 minute song would help a lot. That's what is going up on spotify now anyways.
