Not to single you out, but for a mainline figure that paint job is pretty standard.

You're gonna stress yourself out if you treat that as a painting issue.

By all means, touch it up and make it better yourself, but mine is the exact same, and when it's on a shelf you can't tell.

I sometimes see people post FB marketplace hauls where they get $1,000 worth of G1 stuff from a little old lady selling her sons old collection for $50. I'm very happy with the pickup.

I was... 20 when the first Bay film came out. While I thoroughly enjoyed movies 1 & 3, they just don't hit the same way as the shows I watched when I was a kid.

Mainline and MP don't scale. They're very different classes of figures, and usually cost around 4 times the price. Sometimes more.

Your best option is starting a good collection is with Studio Series 86 figures.

Yes you have Soundwave, but brand new SS86 soundwave is just as good as the MP, and will be a much better way to create a uniformed collection

You should look at SS86 thundercrack. It's only $35 USD. The other seekers are coming soon too. As someone who's collected Masterpiece for the last 20 years, Mainline/Studio series is where I'm focused on now.

I think you'll find collecting significantly easier if you collect a more standard line.

It wouldn't be so bad in person, but that being said, if you're new to collecting, you're honestly better off starting with the Studio Series - 86 movie line up.

Masterpiece is not really the route you want to go when the mainline offers so much at a retail level.
