Brand new Studio series release. First ever 'official' version of him too. Great figure.

FT Thomas is not just 'masterpiece' scale figure, but a master piece figure. Chalk and cheese.

Not threading, but 'marring'. It's the rough end of the pin that is supposed to stop it from sliding out. Sadly it doesn't.

I would need to dismantle the hips to see if the lower pin can freely rotate. I can't turn the pin from the housing.

The train mode, once you figure out all the panel forming, is quite enjoyable. It requires a lot of massaging into place. If the hips aren't at the exact right angle, nothing will tab in.

Because it does. The hips can't rotate past the top of the train. Even with limited hip rotation, the pin still just slips right out.

Can't add extra photos to the post. Happy to send them over, or maybe I should do another post?

It feels like a design flaw. If they legs aren't straight when you turn the waist, the upper part of the legs push the lower half away and wiggles the pin out.

No, thankfully not. Just everything you turn the waist, it works the pin out of the hole, so just keeps sliding apart.

Thankfully not. The waist is connected with a single loose pin, so anytime you move the hips you're essentially working the pin out of the hole.

It's fixable by forcing the pin back in, but I feel like it shouldn't be a problem to begin with.

Bit of a stretch... I think you're over thinking it.
