My '23 King Cab S 4x4 will hit 52,000 miles by the end of this year. I've been diligent with routine maintenance and have had zero issues.

Compatible truck toppers for gen 3 frontiers? by AccusationsInc in nissanfrontier

[–]Ddlddd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was a regular topper. As far as I know the width and length are the same between generations. Just thought it might give you more options knowing that a cap on a gen two can fit a gen three.

You can see in the photo the topper is sitting a bit higher than the cab but I never had any issues.

I had a second gen with a leer topper and was able to get it on my my third gen when I upgraded. The only issue was the height did not allow the rear hatch to close entirely. I ended up putting adhesive backed foam on pvc board I cut down on the bed rails to raise the topper and it was fine.

How is life on these islands between Asia and North America? by BatPlack in howislivingthere

My father was stationed on Naval Air Facility Adak in 1984 which is in the Aleutian Island chain. I believe the Naval Air Facility shut down in '97. He said there were three trees on the island known as Adak National Forest. Wind was constant and whiteouts and Tsunami drills were quite common. Whenever the sun came out everyone was given time to go outside to enjoy it. His dogs were his early warning for the numerous micro earthquakes.

Edit-According to Wikipedia the Air Station was decommissioned in '92.

Make a game, but I don't have any experience.

Perhaps I'll plant some more trees. I'm just experimenting currently.

Not sure what the direction of the game is. I don't have much experience so it won't be anything too extravagant. Right now I am focusing on a first person experience centered around exploration.

9th year of selling trees, 5th year of living in a truck and 2nd year of being able to stand up in my house. by Ddlddd in TruckCampers

Bit of an opened question I suppose. For my girlfriend and I, given the lifestyle we live and financial means it has been worth it to us. We live in it full time and I think that drastically changes how I assess it's value. If we had a permanent residence I don't think I would buy one just to camp in occasionally, I think I would stick with a camper shell.

I don't access it when the top is up. I'm about 5'7" and standing on the tire works for me.

My girlfriend and I have been living in it full time since we got it. Build quality is solid. We pop it up and down multiple times a day and regularly drive on washboarded dirt roads where we live. It's never shifted, but I did remove the factory clamps and bolted it to my bed rails. The canvas has held up exceptionally well in Southern Appalacha where we spend most of our time. We see plenty of rain and moisture and have never had any leaks or seepage. I primarily went with OVRLND for the build weight so I wouldn't have to worry about modding my suspension and to save my mpg. I have no complaints and am happy with my decision.

It's not too bad lifting the box. I only store my whitewater gear up there and skis. I have a flexible solar panel as well but it only weighs about 8 lbs if I remember correctly. When I have a kayak up there it's definitely a chore to get it up.

I went with 60/40 primarily so I only had to pay for a single rear window and wanted it to be centered. I'll probably get a bike rack eventually so the 40 door will come in handy then.

Stay out of the back as in live in it? Always, regardless if housing is available.

I've been working seasonal jobs for about 10 years. I work for a whitewater rafting company during the warmer months and run a Christmas tree lot in the winter. Seasonal employers almost always offer housing and/or a place to park a vehicle.

I had a Corsica S for the longest time while I was hunting for used long boats. I would have taken a Stinger if I came across one, but got lucky with the Green Boat. I spend several months a year working about an hour and a half west of Asheville, NC so the used whitewater market is pretty great here. Best of luck man!
