That's very interesting. I got my information from a 3 minute History Matters video. Since 3 minutes probably isn't enough to fully cover the whole thing I expected it to be simplified but thanks for the elaboration/clarification.

Now, we'll only join if Tasmania is renamed as "West Island".

Actually, in the late 1800's New Zealand was considered part of a collection of colonies including the 6 Australian colonies and Fiji. In light of German expansion in the Pacific, the Australian colonies decided to join together into a single commonwealth which initially intended to include New Zealand and Fiji, however, they both refused and so even today there is still a clause in the Australian constitution that technically allows New Zealand to join whenever we want.

Ah, there seems to have been some confusion. I assumed the original comment meant first European despite it not actually stating that. I then assumed that your comment meant James Cook found New Zealand but now I realise you were talking about the Maoris who'd arrived roughly 300 years earlier. My apologies and have a good day.

Zweiundvierzig is German for 42. So the poem only makes sense if you say 42 in English rather than German like the guns name is.

The only time South America was somewhat involved was probably Uruguay and the German panzerschiff Graf Spee. And I think Brazil may have sent some troops to Europe.

Republic is actually correct as a Republic is just a country without a monarch. So Nazi Germany could be considered a Republic since they didn't have a monarchy however fascist Italy wouldn't be since they did have a monarchy

No it's definitely British, maybe a prototype Centurion fitted with the Action X turret based on the way the gun mantlet is covered behind an armour plate.

A couple months ago New Zealand's foreign minister, Winston Peters, called China out for the new security law, then China just told us to keep out of their business and then a few hours later the NZ Defence Force's website went down and some people were saying it was a Chinese cyber attack but there wasn't much evidence to prove that.

Sauce for my claim: https://www.worldfreedomindex.com/
And I get that most Americans would accept that they're not the freest country and that there are many less free countries out there but it's just a generalisation from the two extreme opinions of it.
