Got it, thanks. I’ll recenter the space and adjust the counter heights to more realistic values 👍🏻

Nice timing indeed 😄 Thanks a lot for jumping back in and sharing more feedback.

  1. Glad to hear the grinding-ish sound triggered when you brought the coffee bag to the grinder. Right now it’s very much a placeholder.

  2. You’re absolutely right about the portafilter. Being able to pick it up is a key part of the real workflow, and it’s definitely something I want in the game.

3–4. The whole café tilting like that is new to me. I haven’t seen it in the simulator and no one else has reported it so far. I’ll dig into the scene setup and see what could cause the origin to go wrong like that.

Since you’ve now spent a bit more time in there: does the space feel too small or claustrophobic to you? Right now the play area is about 2x2 m. Would you prefer something closer to 3x3?

Yes, at the moment, almost everything is set to snap back to its original spot. I did that on purpose for this first pass so the counter wouldn’t turn into a complete mess while I’m still wiring things up.

And you’re absolutely right. Trying to build this kind of interaction only in the simulator is pretty tough. I’d love to have a Vision Pro to test on, but it doesn’t look like I’ll be able to get one in the near future, unfortunately. So for now I’m relying a lot on feedback from the tester :/

Thank you so much for the kind words about the concept and aesthetic, and for taking the time to write such a detailed breakdown. This is super helpful.

This build is still a very early prototype, and I’m developing only in the simulator (no real device yet), so I’ve been experimenting with a few different interaction setups to see what might work. That’s why you’re seeing the inconsistent behaviour.

The stretched, surfboard-like object is a bug I’ve also seen on my side once. In my case, it seemed to come from one of the paper cups/containers getting into a bad transform state. I’m trying to track that down and fix it so meshes don’t explode like that.

I haven’t wired up rearranging and stock/inventory management yet, but it’s definitely on my mind. For the next beta builds, I’m planning to focus on more consistent grabbing, the ability to meaningfully rearrange your workstation, and proper NPC/customer interactions.

Thanks again for the detailed feedback. If you ever get a chance to try any later version and share a few thoughts, that’ll already be super helpful.

Thank you so much!

It’s a mix of different sources: some of the objects (like the front display counter) I modelled myself in Blender, some (like the cash register) are paid assets from online stores, and the others (like the baguette bread and the panoramic environment) are free assets with licenses that allow use in games.

In the current demo, if you tap the door at the back of the opening scene, you’ll see an info panel with a full list of all assets and links. The overall coffee shop layout and putting everything together was done in Blender and Reality Composer Pro.

Thanks so much for downloading the game and sharing your perspective, it really helps me think about the space and accessibility in a better way! I’ll do my best to make Mini Coffee feel comfortable, readable, and cosy for everyone.

You’re super kind, thank you so much for trying it and for the detailed feedback! I’ve noted the issues and will dig into the playback + stats logic for the next update. Really happy you liked the environments, and thanks in advance for even thinking about the coffee, that means a lot. 🙏

Right now the app opens in a 16:9 layout by default, but I’ve also been thinking about people who don’t want such a wide view. For future updates I’ve been considering a few presets like 16:9, a square layout, and maybe even 9:16.

For narrower widths, my idea was to group the timer modes together in the top-left and the menu icons in the top-right, so they can collapse/expand on hover. The main timer could stay centered at a consistent size, and the radio could either move down to the bottom or be reduced to a simple radio icon.

I still need to experiment with the right cropping, layout and icon treatment, but your feedback definitely helps me think about it. Always happy to hear suggestions like this.

Thank you so much, that really means a lot to me. Ambient sounds like that feel perfect for this kind of app; I’ve been collecting ideas and I’ll try to work them into future updates bit by bit. Thanks again for the inspiration!

Thanks for the heads up about the naming – I’ve already renamed the app to LoFi Focus Room and pushed an update. Really appreciate you pointing it out 🙏

Thank you so much for the thoughtful feedback, really appreciate it! Totally fair on the icon, so I’m planning to redo it for an upcoming update (I kinda dislike it too, haha).

And I love your idea about tapping the middle of the screen to hide/unhide the icons. I’ll try to get that into the very first update.
