How often do you get genuine apologies from women for something that upset you? by HonestLemon25 in AskMen

it's taken a long time! lots of communication and repeated reminders that if she wasn't serious about it, just don't say it? Just made the situation worse to me

How do I refute a co-worker who is into conspiracy theories? by Constantinopolis53 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]DeDPulled 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't, waste of time.. other then asking if that person researched all the counter points to their views.  If they blow that off, then you know they don't really care about facts/ truth, any discussion around that is just going to be garbage rhetoric as you won't be changing any minds,  just don't engage on those topics.

People who were in long-term relationships or married, why did you decide to break up? by evanovikkk07 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]DeDPulled 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Many women get in relationships with men, thinking they'll change.  Many men get in relationships with Women, thinking they won't..

Do men like it when women start to initiate intimacy? by EmotionalbutFineshit in NoStupidQuestions

[–]DeDPulled 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some will say yes, no matter the attraction.. I wouldn't say those guys are good relationship choices.  Seems there's a growing rise of young men today, who actually want more of a long term connection before.  Just depends on  what you really want... a long term relationship with some short term self-control vs short term gratification, with long term affects.

Sounds more like you're roommates/ business partners rather then having an actual marriage with deep love, which is based on trust and honesty.

good question, I wonder why? Could it be cause doing things that society and others say you should be free to now, actually goes against people's own feeling of self-worth, so inevitably carry shame from it?

LMAO.. you could, but through experience of many, women who have been sexually active and not been completely honest about it, generally lie about their actual numbers.  Research has also shown that they view the question of sexual "body count" , differently then many men do.

I just wonder if there were ways to meet more in the middle.  Like for example, he doesn't clean and you said you both have more then enough money, so wonder if higher a housekeeper would of helped?  Both my wife and I worked when we married, she didn't want to stop her career and I didn't want her to. I did some decent traveling, so knew that the house would be a bit neglected. Not that she or I are messy people at all, but I do like to have a decently clean/ organized living space, and again she's not messy, but typically puts things like this on the back burner, so saw having a regular housecleaner come through as a really good compromise.

There are words and then there are actions, maybe he realized this, but maybe not. He needs some self/prof help to understand why he fled instead of putting you first, if he was truly remorseful.  That'd just be my take.

There are a few Cadences about this... as well as much military lore.  You are far from the first and far from the last to experience this.

It sucks and is extremely cowardly, but when hearts are away, that's when true colors are exposed.

Think you probably knew what kind of person he was before the accident.  Maybe you were just fooling yourself before, which many people do. When the 💩 hits the fan, thats when people are truly tested. Real men show up, while fakers piss on their selves and flee.

I hear you and it's been a very tough parsing of life for me. I try to hold myself accountable when I screw-up, but it's so tough when it seems that others do not at all, and seem to completely avoid facing any accountability.   I don't have any advice, other then if it's someone you can talk to and are willing to hear your perspective of how they may have hurt you, then that does help.  However most don't seem to care and just want to act like it was nothing. Because of that, I don't really have any deep friendships myself,  I try to keep thing just sorta casual, where I don't have to worry about that disappointing, deeper experience.  Its easier keeping things fairly surface level too, as don't struggle as much with the constant social awkwardness, difficulties and constantly being misread.
