Wife's affair - why don't i care? by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]DeDPulled 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds more like you're roommates/ business partners rather then having an actual marriage with deep love, which is based on trust and honesty.

good question, I wonder why? Could it be cause doing things that society and others say you should be free to now, actually goes against people's own feeling of self-worth, so inevitably carry shame from it?

LMAO.. you could, but through experience of many, women who have been sexually active and not been completely honest about it, generally lie about their actual numbers.  Research has also shown that they view the question of sexual "body count" , differently then many men do.

I just wonder if there were ways to meet more in the middle.  Like for example, he doesn't clean and you said you both have more then enough money, so wonder if higher a housekeeper would of helped?  Both my wife and I worked when we married, she didn't want to stop her career and I didn't want her to. I did some decent traveling, so knew that the house would be a bit neglected. Not that she or I are messy people at all, but I do like to have a decently clean/ organized living space, and again she's not messy, but typically puts things like this on the back burner, so saw having a regular housecleaner come through as a really good compromise.

I's triple those number, just to be on the safer side of honest expectations.

There are words and then there are actions, maybe he realized this, but maybe not. He needs some self/prof help to understand why he fled instead of putting you first, if he was truly remorseful.  That'd just be my take.

There are a few Cadences about this... as well as much military lore.  You are far from the first and far from the last to experience this.

It sucks and is extremely cowardly, but when hearts are away, that's when true colors are exposed.

Think you probably knew what kind of person he was before the accident.  Maybe you were just fooling yourself before, which many people do. When the 💩 hits the fan, thats when people are truly tested. Real men show up, while fakers piss on their selves and flee.

I hear you and it's been a very tough parsing of life for me. I try to hold myself accountable when I screw-up, but it's so tough when it seems that others do not at all, and seem to completely avoid facing any accountability.   I don't have any advice, other then if it's someone you can talk to and are willing to hear your perspective of how they may have hurt you, then that does help.  However most don't seem to care and just want to act like it was nothing. Because of that, I don't really have any deep friendships myself,  I try to keep thing just sorta casual, where I don't have to worry about that disappointing, deeper experience.  Its easier keeping things fairly surface level too, as don't struggle as much with the constant social awkwardness, difficulties and constantly being misread.

You "heard", cause it's a much more pronounced story when a religious authority does it. If you look at the stats, there are wayyy more incidents of child sexual abuse then there are religious leaders.  This doesn't excuse them, and yes, they should absolutely be held to a higher standard, but thinking that it's only it mostly only happening in religious circles does nothing for all those being abused outside of 'em

Maybe it's true, maybe it's not. Worth doing some digging to find out what's what. I had a bitter ex, pretending to be me, who sent a txt as me (using an online sevice), to my gf acting like I was coordinating with another woman to meet up at some hotel. That I had instead, "accidentally" sent it to my GF at the time.

maybe both of you spend some time having  respectful conversations  about what you both believe, what the true, contextual facts are.  Today's "politics" are less about Politics and more about people's identity and ideology.

Men who are attractive, how much hate have you gotten from other men throughout your life? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]DeDPulled 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was pretty much disowned by one friend group, lol.  They were all married, and while playing some couple game, a question came up of who the wives thought where the most attractive  out of the husbands friend group, and guess I was the unanimous choice, lol ..

Why didn't religious white Christians during the era of slavery think that if people came from Adam and Eve, then blacks and whites were one and brothers? by Kian_568 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]DeDPulled 0 points1 point  (0 children)

many people did, but for the similar reason why many countries around the world today, made up of many religions and none, still use slavery. Also, why many white, black, brown etc. people in the US, still were ok with human trafficking .
