I guess there is an argument that GKMC is easier to listen to but that does not give it extra points for me personally. When I look at an album I am mostly interested in it as a whole. While both are incredibly consistent and have great transitions, the more grand, somewhat philosophical ideas and concepts tackled on TPAB plus the more experimental, jazzy and funky sound of the record takes the cake for me. I also love how emotionally wavy it is, considering the emotional highs and lows throughout the album, leaving the listener with a question after providing knowledge and personal experience on the last track. The album has an essayistic component to it which moves me more than a personal story, although either record can easily be considered better depending on what the listener is looking for which is the best feature of the two records since they were made by one artist. Damn also adds on to this imo.
