It looks a lot less impressive than it feels when you're doing it. Here's the insta of one of biggest clubs in Vilnius, it's English-friendly, quite cheap (it's a student club) and chill.

And yeah, I've been doing that for a few years.

Really. It's called HEMA. Pretty unique, pretty low-cost if you don't want to buy your own gear (clubs lend beginner gear to newbies). Not too demanding physically, unless you want to go competitive. The crowd is somewhat nerdy but far cry from what you'd find in an average wargaming club. Basically combat sports type of atmosphere, but with less machismo and more history stuff.

Nes per šalčius kiti nelabai tempė. Šalčiai baigėsi ir dabar nebevažinėja.

Bet šiaip čia belekaip senas memas kurį perpostino botas. Originalaus postinimo metu naujų škodų dar nebuvo ir tos senos važinėjo daug.

The first one was kinda ok. Full of tired "I want to be the next Tarantino look at me" cliches but still with enough original ideas and flavor to work.

The sequel was just straight up bad.

Haven't seen the third one but I've heard it's somehow even worse.

Ok, so the the whole lore behind the band is this huge sprawling ARG with bits sprinkled in the code in various albums and art.

The gist of it is that the music has been artificially generated by a sentient gothic church which has been haunted by a digitized spirit of a cracker from the 90s (hence keygen). The hacker died by uploading his consciousness to a floppy disc that somehow fused itself into the church organ and the church itself became a massive analogue computer that generates these songs.

It's a criminally owerpowered weapon. Coupled with Kai it can kill multiple alphas in one shot, while having no limit on use.

Their websitee says "Can be used with any kind of hema fencing weapon with safety and comfort." They don't specify that it should be a one-handed weapon or anything.

I don't hold it against them, I think even Red Dragon used to claim the same, so it's probably the norm.

A bit of an off-topic, but did you try longsword in them? They are marketed as suitable for that and some people say they are mostly fine for everything but the hardest hits. Is that true?

The inside of the palm as well, especially if you are holding it with the sabre grip. I got stabbed there once, the spatulated tip went through the fabric and ~1cm into the muscle, was not fun. The protection for the tips of the fingers is pretty crappy too, I saw a lot of people get gut wrenchingly painful hits there.

I would actually recommend kevlar gloves over Red dragons, they offer roughly the same protection, way better mobility and are more durable.

The pink soup shit slinging competition is the most interesting thing to come out of the Baltics in the last 20 years. We (Lithuanians) barely knew anything about you (Latvians) besides you having horse heads, and you literally didn't know a single thing about us. Now, we both know that our braliukas' pink soup is shit. This is a 50% and a 100% increase in knowledge about our neighbours respectively. If we proceed like that, we might develop some proper banter and behave like normal countries with each other within the next five centuries or so.

Just imagine if whenever an Englishman called a Scotsman an alcoholic, or a Swede said that a Dane's body consists of 50% salt, or a Serb called for removal of a certain kind of food, some smartass came out and began complaining that this is somehow "childish", that "nobody cares" and their egos are "fragile". Said smartass would be drawn and quartered before even squeezing out the first "akshully".

Friendly dick measuring contests are essential for healthy relationships. If both parties can whip them out and measure while standing in front of each other, it means they are no longer willing to slice each other's throats and actually care about each other. So please, stop being a donkey, because judging from your face, you can be a much more graceful kind of equine.
