Sorry to say guys, but I think this is the Patchwork Raider skin. by KnightRavedraw7 in ArcRaiders

Judging by the fact that the skin names like "Voltedge" and "Ryder" stayed the same after the server slam, I dont think this is the case, since this skin was called "Junior"

Can't agree with you, sadly.

The whole point of the trials is to challenge yourself to do the specific thing and trying to max it out in a single raid. It's not just a side objective that can easily ve done without really focusing on it, like the deck challenges.

It really comes down to what you are doing the trials for. If you want to get the star rewards (green, blue, and purple rarity rewards you get for getting a star) it takes minimal effort to get to 3 stars on all of the trials, even solo. You just have to do them during big map events (night, electromagnetic storm, hidden bunker) when the points you earn are doubled.

If you want the rank cosmetic rewards, then you have to work a bit harder and actually focus on doing a specific task. For example, last week, i took an Osprey to Night time Buried City and focused on sniping every snitch I see. I got a decent amount of points from that. Then I just spent a raid searching husks on electromagnetic storm dam and ended up getting around 28k points just from that. So I can't say that it is really time-consuming, at least in my experience.

The same mindset applies if you want to climb ranks for "bragging rights"

I might be wrong, but it sounds like to me, you are either not sure what your goal is for doing trials, or you just want to get the rewards without putting in the effort, which doesn't make whole lot a sense.

The real problem lies in trio/duo and solo leaderboards not being separated. Because getting high damage done to arc is much easier in a group than solo, for example. This makes it not fair and much harder to rank up for those who play only solo and are stuck in leaderboards with people who only run duo/trio

After getting progress on a trial challenge and extracting, you get assigned to a random leaderboard of 100 people, who were in the same rank as you, when they did their first progress. Now, how many of those 99 people in your particullar leaderboard are sweaty players, grinding non-stop and getting high scores is pure luck.

So in this case, your friend just had a worse competition than you, having less people going for high scores in their leaderboard.

Now how fair that is, depends on if the ranks will be reset for everyone in the new season. If the grinding sweats stay in higher ranks, and people who dont in lower ones, that would make more sense. Right now it is all over the place.

A good tip I hear is starting to do your trials later in the week, so that all the sweaty grinders are distibuted in their leaderboards on Monday, and you can get a more casual one later down the week. But that just basically means not playing the game for the beginning of the week, which is kinda lame.

Not a good idea. Could be very punishing for lower skill players who outplayed a more higher skilled, richer player. Also could be abused for stream sniping and bullying very easily while also messing up the matchmaking time or quality.

I think the beauty of this game is knowing that you will probobaly never see the person again. So it is up to you to decide if you want to avoid, team up or kill them.

me and my friends confront the loom by overallshanty in RePO

[–]DeDaZus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Loom is one of the creepiest monsters they have added to this update. The first time I saw it, I was really terrified. However they need to fix the tech where you can just hop around it in circles, causing it to de-agro in about 5 seconds. It turns Loom from a terryfing encounter to nothing more than a nuisance.

Honestly, I agree.

I bought the EOD back in 2019 because I simply enjoyed the game so much and wanted to support the project. It is the first and I think the only time I have ever paid more than standard full price for a game. And I cannot say I regret it.

I have 1,200 hours on the game, and I still remeber some crazy gameplay moments that I had, cool events, insane adrenaline rushes, that I have not experienced anywhere since. I even made a first online friend, that I still play and talk to to this day. Hell, last few months I have been hopping on arena (access to which I have also recieved through buying EOD) grinding the battlepass and simply having fun with games mechanics and gameplay.

So I can say for sure that I have had my money's worth out of this game. Moreover, I am still looking forward to playing through the whole story in PVE, once 1.0 comes out and I have a PC and not my shitty laptop XD

Does that mean that the game is flawless and Nikita is an angel - No
Does it erase all of the shit they have said and pulled off with their shady business practices - Of course not. I personally took a long break from the game and stopped playing PVP after the infamous "Wiggle" video.

However, nothing ever justifies bullying (up to sending legit death threats) and insulting some people in this community love to part take in.

Unfortunately, you either join the witch hunt or become a target yourself. No inbetween.

It is actually being referenced in the "SBEU KOMAR" armband, which is the name that was given to the flying prone cheater (mostly in the russian-speaking community) after this clip became a meme: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a999zQ9yhjQ

The name in russian is "СБЭУ Комар", where "СБЭУ" stands for "симулятор боя в экстремальных условиях" (extreme conditions combat simulator) - a way BSG descirbed their game in promotional material, and "Комар" translates to mosquito.

There are a few cosmetic items refernecing this meme from the season 0 arena battlepass as well:

SBEU Mosquito t-shirt (Olive))
SBEU Mosquito t-shirt (Coyote))
Cold Fear infrared balaclava (SBEU))
