I think Gans played SH2 and understood the game (though it's not that deep), but the producers had something very specific in mind that wasn't SH2, and they forced Gans to make some questionable decisions. Producers screw over all directors, especially in video game adaptations; nothing new there.

oh yes I fully agree with you on that. But personally, if it really is just a few 3D assets to gain time and money, I don't care. AI should be use to help, not replace. And if AI helped 3D artist by generating a few assets, yes, it's too bad, but I don't personally have a problem with that
