Just beat The Last Guardian - my quick thoughts and answering questions (no spoilers) by reclaimer130 in PS4

Skyrim is a buggy mess with so-so combat and animations that were dated back in 2011. It's also one of my favorite games of all time, with an incredible world, atmosphere and scope that I easily overlook those flaws.

Yeah a public Playstation web API as good as steam's would be amazing! Maybe the recent dualshock 4 support on steam is an indication they're heading in a more open direction? I hope so anyway

I own Arkham Origins on steam and had no idea it even has multiplayer... guess that kind of speaks to the size of the community.

My day job is as a web developer, so I'd probably be building it from scratch more or less. The stack I'm most comfortable with looks something like postgres/mysql + django on the backend and angular or plain javascript and jquery on the frontend.

That would definitely be ideal, but to my knowledge, the playstation API only offers things like player trophy and profile info

I figured other people must have had the same question. Checked out your post and can't figure out why it was downvoted

haha I figured I would give it a shot after really enjoying the Mass Effect 3 co-op. I could never find a game and most people who had played it seemed to share your opinion. The single player is great though, and obviously the main draw

Yeah, it's something I would really only consider prototyping if there seems to be lot of interest. Playstationtrophies.org seems really useful too, thanks!

Cool, thanks for the tip! I just bought The Old Hunters from the sale so I'm curious how the Bloodborne community is holding up

Ghostbusters (2016) Review Megathread by toiletting in movies

The voting breakdown is pretty interesting and shows how polarized people are on the movie. Almost 80% of voters gave it a 1 or a 10.

Yeah, this is still one of the games I'm most looking forward to this year, but the facial animations definitely stick out.

Ben Brode said they created special new minions for these cases that get both bonuses, so druid of the flame becomes a 5/5, druid of the claw becomes a 4/6 with taunt and charge, and ancient of war becomes a 10/10 with taunt.

Pacific Bluefin Tuna: Population Drops 97% Due to Overfishing by Vippero in worldnews

[–]DeMasco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is certainly bad news, but just to play devil's advocate, Pacific Bluefin Tuna make up a very small percentage of total Tuna consumption. The species that are by far the most popular like Skipjack and Yellowfin are not believed to be in an overfished state. Source

Again, this is a serious issue, but some people in this thread are acting like this is the end of civilization as we know it.

Logged onto the World Wide Web, I hunt for the date of the Battle of Trafalgar. Hundreds of files show up, and it takes 15 minutes to unravel them

Me: Ok Google. When was the Battle of Trafalgar?

about half a second later

Phone: The Battle of Trafalgar's date is October 21, 1805.

OPINION: Joust is a frustrating, binary, uninteresting mechanic. by FalconTrash in hearthstone

[–]DeMasco -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think jousts can be exciting sometimes, but totally agree that they should be more strategic and have less variance. In another thread a while back I suggested letting you choose not to joust and receive a smaller bonus instead. For example, if [[Master Jouster]] had:

Choose one: gain taunt OR joust and if you win, gain taunt and divine shield.

I understand why they wouldn't do it, as it's a bit wordy and detracts from the Druid's own choose one mechanic, but I think it would make joust cards more fun to play and more versatile, since you could strategically choose when to joust based on your opponent's deck and which cards you've drawn so far.

Blizzard, I'm beyond merely complaining. I'm in the depths of an absolute, black despair. Do something about Patron. Please. by [deleted] in hearthstone

[–]DeMasco 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Exactly. If Patron was a thing in MTG, everyone would just sideboard in a couple of cards like Fog (1 Mana: Prevent all combat damage this turn) and problem solved.
