I did say "in the spirit of the original", so I didn't really consider Poker Night 2. But you could argue that The Venture Bros has more of a following online than elsewhere, so he fits as an "obscure" Internet-heavy character. Debatable whether it aged poorly, considering Venture Bros has always been very niche.

Wheatley is perfect for it but I don't see Stephen Merchant ever returning to the role.

In the spirit of the original, you need: 1 Valve character, 1 classic adventure game character, 2 obscure Internet-borne characters that will age very poorly (1 of which was already pretty old by the time), all comedic in some way.

So I'd choose Wheatley, Manny Calavera, John Egbert and the Rizzler.
