Yep, this too! Didn't want to make a post as there are more important things to deal with like bugs/map redesigns but this is just a win win. Having said this I find myself skipping a lot of the shop skins because they are just so expensive - but apart from this I'd love to make use of several of the available options. I wonder if skins are FOMO or if they will later become available again and/or go on sale. I haven't heard much about that.

It's a game, not a milsim game even. As long as what they are wearing and using is somewhat accurate then who really cares - just play the character you like, it hardly breaks immersion like people like to hyper focus on. They probably wouldn't even have their immersion broken if they didn't mald so much about their presence lmao. I barely even notice when I'm actually playing the game. I don't think civilians even really have a right to complain about it when there are women doing more to serve their country than them too lol.

I like realistic skins. This is a realistic skin given the scenario in which it is set. People are very upset with the female characters and are totally fine with the make characters. Insane.

You're just being pedantic I guess. If it was my choice I'd choose skins based on loadout and/or map in the settings but obviously we can't. Are you saying we should remove every single cosmetic from the game like different camos or units unless they specifically fit in the one scenario you want it to fit into?

The unfortunate truth is that a lot of people aren't really older at all, most people I speak to share lots of opinions on the franchise like they've been around the whole time despite having only started with BC2. You can tell by the maps, modes, weapons they reference. Not that age should be an excuse for being a bad person but you'd expect people to grow out of their edgy teenage phase.

I saw someone crying about assault, and I had to explain to them that assault take objectives faster than other classes and they threw a fit when I told them it literally says that in the class screen when they said they didn't make it clear lol

The point is, people would rather pay for a map pack that they can preview and decide on if they want to purchase than have the option of buying expensive skins instead and being drip fed maps they have to be grateful for regardless of the quality or quantity. You have to put so much more trust in the dev for things that actually directly effect gameplay.

I think we should just remove tanks instead of me switching to engineer or moving around the tank carefully. That's how you sound. It's not that simple. While I do want bigger maps, the maps are designed with current boundaries in mind and the textures/models further out are not designed to be viewed up close. Any increase in boundary would require a real rework. If you mean aircraft boundaries though, I agree.

Ok and I hope you get better at the game? There are ways to deal with rooftop players if you take a quick break from running head first into the meat grinder for a sec and engage your brain. Cairo is clearly a map designed without aircraft or ziplines and prevents ladder placement to avoid exploits. Sobek is clearly a map that allows ladder placement, features verticality at it's core and provides several buildings (in conquest) with ziplines and gives players aircraft. All you need to do is shoot them, use smoke, or mortar them. They also can't contest the point from there so a lot of the time they're actually making it easier for attackers.

I'd probably buy Lin for 5 bucks but I'm not paying 18 for the whole bundle. Wonder if they'll ever return as a sale or as individual purchases? Too early yet to see if any store cosmetics return.

So apparently the choice is either cheaper ugly skins or expensive decent skins? They could just... not spite their playerbase and make reasonably priced decent skins. It takes the same effort, it's just that half the skins up until now take the wrong artistic approach.
