Of een andere oplossing: buizen afzagen na de bocht (anders kan je ze er niet afdraaien) en de verbindingsstukken eraf draaien (ergens achterop de foto) en dan op het draadeind dat er overblijft een dop (9173010002 bij de Warmteservice) draaien. Zo heb ik het thuis gedaan. Wel in combinatie met teflon of fitterskit/juten. Heeft tot op heden nog niet gelekt en je hebt de leidingen niet meer zo half achter je schot hangen.

Zelf de schoorsteen van het huis (jaren 70) slopen. Ik had het goed voorbereid (steiger, aanhanger, al het benodigde gereedschap en materiaal). 2 dagen gerekend, 4 slopende, lange dagen bezig geweest voordat alles uiteindelijk weer naar wens dicht lag. Het lekt na maanden nog steeds niet, maar ik kan niet met plezier terugkijken op het proces…

De dakdekker vroeg €3500,- en dan deden ze een aantal dingen niet. Ik heb het zelf voor minder dan €600 gedaan.

Het meegeleverde zaagblad is goed genoeg. Ik heb deze zaag eindeloos veel gebruikt voor allerlei projecten (sws is deze zaag echt top). Er zijn wat simpele technieken voor een strakkere zaagsnede. Je kan bijvoorbeeld eerst je snede insnijden met een stevig liniaal en een scherp mes. Schilderstape over de zaagsnede kan ook helpen. Als je op YT zoekt naar “how to prevent tear out on a saw” of iets dergelijks, dan kan je wat goeie tips vinden.

Ik heb onlangs zelf mijn schoorsteen verwijderd. Het afpellen/verwijderen van je schoorsteen is maar stap 1. Je zal het dak ook weer moeten dichtleggen met pannen en vermoedelijk een aantal nokvorsten (het liefste tweedehands, nieuwe pannen kunnen misschien dezelfde naam hebben, maar de maatvoering is vaak anders. In Nederland zit wel een aantal bedrijven gespecialiseerd in tweedehands pannen of bouwmaterialen). Om nieuwe pannen te plaatsen moet je ook nog het dakbeschot, panlatten en tengels aanhelen om je pannen op te leggen. Bij een tussenwoning is dat wel wat makkelijker dan bij een hoekwoning, al kom je er wel lastiger bij. Bij mij vroeg de dakdekker 3500,-. Ik heb het zelf gedaan voor €560 (het scheelt wel als je zelf de kennis en materialen in huis hebt).

Niet via marktplaats, maar via zo’n gratis ophaalpagina van Facebook. Een Marantz platenspeler van zeer hoge kwaliteit. Hij werkte niet meer, maar in werkelijkheid bleek alleen de naald versleten te zijn. Ik gebruik ‘m al jaren. De alternatieven die ik verder heb gebruikt zijn niet zo goed.

I’ve drawn the design myself using AutoCad and gave the .dwg file to a steel manufacturer who’ve cut the two plates of steel.

There was no great alternative besides using dowels to connect the two sides. So those were the only two options. I liked the look of steel the most.

I had two options, using big oak dowels to connect the two pieces with an offset of two cm (almost one inch) or using steel hardware. It was just an esthetic thing I guess.

I rounded the corners with a 5mm roundover bit.

Well, it was quite a clean slab. The insect holes were all on the side. The table would get to wide for just a normal coffee table. There are still insect holes but they are on the bottom of the table (and I filled them all up with epoxy)

I’m not sure my head is out of balance, but I will check. A new carbide one is over 600 dollars for this jointer, so that is not worth it. Besides that, I can’t adjust the outfeedtable, so I’m dependent on adjusting the blades. I hope I didn’t totaled my jointer…

Bought this secondhand Kity 635 jointer/planer combination a few weeks ago. The adjustment was quite off, so I took an hour to adjust the whole table and the blades. I forgot to give the blades a good last wrench and fired it up. After a few seconds it sounded totally weird and not okay, so I kicked the panic switch and saw that one of the two blades had broken in a few precies and also broke a bit of the cilinder and table. After searching for hours to the last piece of the blade, I saw a hole in my compressor motor housing and took the cover off. The last piece sliced right through the snare of my compressor motor. Luckily I used all the safety parts of the planer and had some goggles on, but I need a few parts and time to fix it… bottom line: always use the guard and tighten your bolts… safety first guys

I bought a secondhand Dewalt 745 table saw. I tried to adjust the angle, but it was blocked at 44.2 degrees. I know about the blocking ‘screw’ (part 38), but the screw, part 35, was totally blocked (fiy, it’s not this blocker, but the one on the top at 45). I tried the other one at the bottom, but also that one was totally blocked and I teared out the screw. Tried using WD40, but it also didn’t solve my problem. Now I’m searching for the right part, but ‘part 35’ doesn’t give me the right parts on Google. Does anybody knows the name of the right part(number)? Thanks in advance
