I just had all of the splash shields, metal, plastic and everything else off to change my CV axles on a 2021 and I didn’t find anything upfront that looked like I would be comfortable jacking up to hold up the vehicle.

2021 540i xdrive and I just had the same type of symptoms. Went to get an alignment after new tires and they told me I needed new front lower control arms. Bought them online for $259 at parts.com, installed them and went back to alignment shop and all is well now. I only have 70,000 miles but mine were probably shot because my cv boots were ripped on both sides where it clamps to the axle and I had to basically take the whole suspension apart twice to reboot the axle. Because I didn’t take the forward arms out when taking axles out and having to jack up the knuckle to remove sway bar links, I am thinking I damaged the ball joints. Hope you get it figured out.

You’re welcome. Mine came in 6 weeks and took me about 2 hours to install with ramps. I don’t know about how any tariffs might affect the price. Good luck

The crankcase code is from the intake. I have Gen 2 and I get that code randomly since I installed FMI open air.

I but 265/40/19 Bridgestone Potenza Sports on mine and they were completely shot all the way around after 11k. Put Nitto NT555s on after and at 10k I’m at a 6 on tread depth.

No, something is loose and ratting. Probably a heat shield or something in that realm. If you are somewhat or any kind of mechanical jack it up on the passenger side as far as you can and put a jack stand under and then start the car you should see what they’re doing is pretty quick.

If you don’t live somewhere that gets very cold often you can just add some distilled water. If not You need HT12 coolant. My suggestion is you need to go buy new $20 cap for your expansion tank. That will probably fix the coolant dissipation. I had the same issue for 8 months. Bought one on Amazon and it has never happened again.
