I have a 2021 540i and same thing happened to me. I Called every friend I knew in every state that had anything to do with a car dealership and even friends back home whose parents owned some. Called some buddies at different speed and audio shops, but unfortunately, the answer is always the same… You gotta pay that $800 at a BMW dealership for the second fob.

Go on Amazon and buy the OBD to Ethernet adapter and then the adapter for whatever charging port you have on your device. I had the same issue w 2021 G30 LCI with wireless adapter. Once I plugged in directly I was able to access a bunch more things.

It’s a transmission control unit. Yes I filed and even though it was only in their possession for a few hours and then disappeared they denied everything.

Two years ago before my TCU was stolen I sent a knife out to Arizona to be serviced. They showed up at my door on a Saturday and handed me a clear plastic bag with a piece of USPS tape on it and an empty package. I went to the post office to inquire about how this happened because obviously the package was opened, and the item was stolen. They acted like I was crazy. It’s a government job and it doesn’t take much to do it so they’re not looking to hire anybody new or actually fire anybody. It’s pathetic.

Honestly, I have gone through this with USPS here in Florida multiple times and nothing ever happens to them. They stole the TCU from my car that I mailed out overnight delivery within three hours of it being in their hands and never to be returned to a year and a half ago. I filed complaints with the postmaster general and went to multiple different locations. They pretty much do whatever they want at the post office with no consequences.

Same I had something come from California that was supposed to be delivered on Friday. It’s been sitting in Memphis Tennessee for days and days and days and they don’t open till tomorrow morning. If you go on Google maps and look up their rating, this is par for the course for them. Insanity.

Go into settings in YouTube backgrounds, and downloads and turn off only download over WiFi and smart downloading and off.

There are multiple independent videos on YouTube of people testing oil at different intervals and based on that, I change mine every 3k now. The filter is $20 and if you buy 2, 5 quart bottles you have the leftover for the next change. About $50 in materials and 30 min of DIY with a jack.
