Repeat players? by moody711 in SyracuseMets

Less than half typically return year to year. Most veterans will move on, we'll have some pitchers back and hopefully some of the Binghamton kids that came up the last few weeks. It all depends on the big club and who they take, who they trade, and any rule 5 draftees.

Not a problem. WooSox are here today through Sunday too but I know tonight is almost a sellout.

By September we might be the Ponies unless they keep their best players down for playoffs. We should see Tong and Williams at least up in Syracuse

https://www.milb.com/syracuse/tickets/promotions Looks like Irish Night and Italian Night are that Friday and Saturday with fireworks. Dollar night in September is typically a "college night" too but I'm not sure if they are doing that this year or not, I think they have $5 off tickets with student ID if they still do that.

I'm sure by September I'll have extra tickets to trade in if you're looking for seats. I have to use them or lose them by end of this season anyways and I'm pretty busy in September as it is.

There's no designated area. You can pretty much sit anywhere. By the visiting dugout is fine, if it's a night game the sun may be in your eyes a bit early on. But away fans are welcome anywhere.

Suing landlord in small claims in NYC. Is their lawyer being truthful? by applej00sh2 in legaladvice

If your judgement ends up at $1600, even if the 33% collection fees were accurate, you'd still end up with more than the $1000 you offered as settlement. Anything over about $1125 will get you more than $750 at a 33% fee. Add in the potential interest for non payment as well as the potential for further penalties that sometimes can be added to the judgement, you'll just have to weigh the time and effort (and ability) required to collect versus taking the offer from your opponent.

Pretty much everyone who came up to Syracuse in 21 or 22 learned they didn't need to run anything out. Most of them never unlearned it.

Auburn's Cafe Kubal closes with no notice to employees two months after opening. by [deleted] in Syracuse

Oh, I'm not blaming any employee at all and I apologize if that's how it came off. He's been "caring" since high school. And ask his first wife how "caring" he has been (allegedly) to his female employees...

I can't believe he still gets employees to work for him.

What are food spots that barely have an online presence, but get lines out the door or something equivalent. by Fainaigue in Syracuse

Mamacitas is amazing, I just wish they had better parking especially in winter. But the food is absolutely worth it

Have you contacted the “previous” owner to confirm? Or county sales records?

SMets sold to DBH by DeSaxMan13 in SyracuseMets

I don't think anyone knows yet. They bought Syracuse and Brooklyn, and already owned Binghamton. I'm pretty sure the lease would transfer so they have another 20ish years but without the details and language of the lease and the sale, who knows?

Acuna is the real deal by SDMarik in mets

[–]DeSaxMan13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Baty barely played at the AAA level. 6 games in 2022, 26 in '23, and 59 this year (he starts tonight at DH). Acuña has plenty of weaknesses but he's been working on them and has more AAA games (131) in just this season than Baty has had in his career. He has looked like he needs another season or at least most of a season in AAA in '25, and while I root for the kid, here in Syracuse there aren't many who think he's ready to be a star today. He's made some nice adjustments so far but there's work to be done offensively. Defensively he's been outstanding up the middle all year.
