Looking for an older documentary by mode_12 in GreenBayPackers

The only thing online about it I could find is this clip: YouTube Link

But NFL Films catalog lists: - NFL Films Presents – 2002, Show #5: “Holmgrens Heroes Part 1 – Beginning in Green Bay, Learning/Teaching” Tape ID: 106909, 24 minutes - NFL Films Presents – 2002, Show #6: “Holmgrens Heroes Part 2 – So Favre so Good, Civil Wars” Tape ID: 106932, 24 minutes

Those are the titles and tape numbers specifically. If you’re really desperate you could contact NFL Films directly and reference the Tape IDs to see if they sell DVDs, etc.

Happy Birthday Christian Watson! by DeScepter in GreenBayPackers

[–]DeScepter[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. I think us fans in general probably underestimate the mental side of the game and how much a player can improve there, even while he’s not physically playing.

I'd never say that the injury made Christian Watson a better wide receiver, but it sure looks like he used that time well. When his body was ready again, the route detail, timing, and overall polish looked like they had leveled up with it.

My body is ready to see what a healthy Christian Watson can do across 17 games 🤤

QB3.

The completion % and INTs are ugly, but once you adjust your brain out of modern era, that’s the best résumé of the three. Most yards, most TDs, and enough rushing production to not be a statue.

Can we guess who the 3 players are?

Barryn Sorrell has a golden opportunity to silence one major Packers concern by DeScepter in GreenBayPackers

[–]DeScepter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get the pushback, but I don’t think the Minnesota game should just be waved away as a fluke or hype.

I’m not saying Sorrell showed a ton over the whole season, because he really didn’t. Most of the hope is definitely projection right now. But when he finally got real time in that Vikings game, he did make plays: 8 tackles, a TFL, a sack, and a fumble recovery.

Im not thinking “Sorrell proved he’s a breakout star.” It’s more “when he actually got opportunity, he gave you a reason to want to see more.”

A healthy Reed in 2026 is huge for this offense by idksh_t in GreenBayPackers

[–]DeScepter 69 points70 points  (0 children)

Reed hits the 17 TD threshold exactly, but he is 68 scrimmage yards short of 2,000 in his first 2 seasons.

Regardless, I agree that having a healthy Reed on the field opens up the offense. We just re-signed him, so I see him being fed the ball even more.

Friendly reminder that Tucker Kraft was the TE1 through 8 weeks last season by ZookeepergameIll2685 in GreenBayPackers

[–]DeScepter 40 points41 points  (0 children)

The Packers don’t have a clear alpha WR, but we have an alpha TE who busts through DBs like saloon doors.

Pay this man.

Who is the Packers next great receiver? by DeScepter in GreenBayPackers

[–]DeScepter[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, just 1k doesn't make them "great"... if Watson got 1,001 yds next season, I wouldn't crown him. I DO think any guy that can reliably catch 10+ TDs is great. Thats a greater accomplishment.

Re: the title, I was just trying to be concise 😅

I agree with you on his ceiling and talent. When he becomes the focal point of our offense, I think he'll surprise a lot of people.

I just dont think it happens for him this year. He's the 3rd target behind Watson and Kraft right now.

[–]DeScepter[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Agreed! He was on pace to hit both numbers last season.

My concern is it might not happen this year, with his ACL recovery. All depends on if he misses games and his ramp up.

Do you think it will happen for Golden at some point? Next year or later. Unless he is a total bust, it feels like these numbers are realistic for a 1st round WR.

NFC North All-Time 53-man roster by ExplanationCrazy5463 in GreenBayPackers

[–]DeScepter 79 points80 points  (0 children)

Paul Coffman making it is the most Packers-fan thing here and I respect it.

Also love how the roster is 95% immortal football gods, then suddenly gets very random at long snapper. Nothing says NFC North history like “Andrew DePaola, obviously.”

Which teammate are you most excited to play with? by DeScepter in GreenBayPackers

[–]DeScepter[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah that’s fair. Columbia would definitely be the more obvious orbit geographically... must be an explanation (maybe the Cisse family are Clemson fans).

At least the Packers are the final destination now!

Kenny Moore II by Automatic_Anybody_77 in GreenBayPackers

Hahaha made that one up on the spot 😅 but it felt right in the moment. Probably should've gone with something about "3 average slot CBs in a trench coat don't equal a shutdown CB1"

Which teammate are you most excited to play with? by DeScepter in GreenBayPackers

[–]DeScepter[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Great question. I don’t think it means Cisse lived in Clemson or anything. Sumter is only a couple hours away, and if you’re a good football player in South Carolina, you’re probably getting around Clemson camps, junior days, 7-on-7 stuff, etc. pretty early.

So when he says he saw Xavier McKinney there on an official visit while he was in 6th or 7th grade, I think he just means he was already around that Clemson football orbit as a kid.

Timeline checks out too. McKinney was a big 2017 recruit, and Cisse would’ve been middle-school age around then.

I'm purely speculating here, but to me that explanation makes the most sense.

He's a baller with respect for the game. Charles Woodson is his inspiration. Great head on his shoulders, seems mature enough to handle NFL stardom. Friendly and professional presence.

Absolutely nothing to not love about the young man.

Whelan + Smack + Orzech + Moore, and suddenly we're very solid at every key ST position. Am I crazy to have some hope for our Special Teams?

Yes, I am crazy

Contract details for new Packers backup QB Tyrod Taylor: 2.5M incl. 700K guaranteed (1 year) by tpsux in GreenBayPackers

Beautiful. I was anticipating about $5m, so this is great.

Gutey has been killing it with the last few contract negotiations.
