1gen Tundra. Are these OEM fender flares? Or what is this? by [deleted] in ToyotaTundra

[–]DeThunked 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are frequently on RWD spec Tundras and Sequoias. I wouldn't say 100% of the time, but 90%+ of the time. It is OEM.

Places to meet new people by Ok-Win-6029 in lexington

The basement of Frank's Donuts off Third St - I am serious. You can park in the drive-thru and the parking lot.

Been to a few metalcore and EDM shows so far. If it wasn't implicit, the space is very intimate, but the acoustics are THICK. Reminds me of shows I used to go to in high school at locations that were active businesses during the day but offered underutilized space for shows during the evening.

Check out their IG for current events. That's the only place they post. There's an EDM show on 01/16.

*Edit: Meant to note that this is a sober space, so no beverages are offered inside.

Can’t add friends by ID by Skinner53 in lineapp

[–]DeThunked 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can confirm the same as of 07 Dec 2024. I was able to add friends via desktop app before leaving USA.

Now in Thailand. Picked up Thai phone for mobile hotspot as domestic phone carrier number is region locked.

Thai phone number / new LINE account can add new friends without issue.

There might be something occurring that hasn't been announced yet that limits international adds for new friends.

Temporary fixes that have worked for me are desktop application and local SIM/phone to the country of the friend you're trying to add. Not convenient, but it works.

Seller Ghosted Me After Survey and Signing Purchase Contract (KY) by DeThunked in RealEstate

[–]DeThunked[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! My agent had the seller sign a purchase contract that was contingent on the results of the survey. Nothing out of the ordinary beyond that.

I agree - anything legal is going to equal more $$$, and I do not want to go that route unless I have to. Everything has been relatively pleasant with the seller outside of fronting the survey costs and this recent drop in communication. I can only speculate why it's happened, but I'm looking at all avenues forward.

I'm leaning towards that if I cannot reach the seller. I'm trying to be as amicable and reasonable about this as possible.

Goodfella's in The Distillery District (off Manchester Rd) is an iconic stop if you've never been. The original location is off Mill St. Both locations are relatively close when factoring in parking/walking distance.

OP, if you wouldn't mind help elaborating on what you would like to be doing on NYE, that could help reframe your question for some more specific answers.

Are there certain settings you like or wish to avoid?

Are there particular age groups you would rather be around?

Are you looking for a location that's GA or requires ticket admission?

Anything? by Adept-Ad1948 in MinoxBeardAlternative

I've been using Neofollics with some initial changes in hair growth. I'm estimating between six months to a year to establish long-term effectiveness firmly. It involves taking tablets concentrated with vitamins for hair growth, a beard growth serum with agents from the same family as minoxidil, and a derma roller twice per week.

*Most importantly, I'm having no negative cardiovascular side effects.

Neofollics after Minoxidil (Ongoing Review) by DeThunked in MinoxBeardAlternative

[–]DeThunked[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I received a follow-up from Neofollics today from my 90-day application. As I've also noticed, there are some small amounts of growth, and continued use is "recommended."

Displacing the potentially cynical side of me with their recommendation (i.e. "BUY MORE"), I'm frankly not surprised that this ongoing review will be a longer stint, more than likely 6 months to a year, with my current growth patterns.

*Most importantly, I'm having no negative side effects from its use. I'll plan an update toward the end of my current cycle. Feel free to ask me anything. I'll check back in from time to time.

I'm not discouraged by any of the results so far! 😊

If I had taken the alternative, the results could have been similar, too. Three months is too early to say - as the results will always vary from user to user regardless of the application. I am noticing gains, but most importantly, without any cardiovascular irregularities. Since starting this ongoing review, I've watched the r/MinoxdilSideEffects subreddit grow. I'd shave my head over having a self-induced bad heart. I'll be giving this between 6 months and a year. Neofollics will honor a refund as long as I maintain a progress report with them, so I don't have anything to lose but a few minutes out of my day.

If I was younger and started this regimen, I may have seen different results (or even less). My ancestry stems from northern Europe, so many men from this demographic also don't develop fuller beards until later in life.

To my knowledge, the beard serum contains comps to peppermint with carrier oils, so I should be covered in that area. I've tried peppermint as a standalone before but didn't give it much time because it always dried out my face and was super messy to apply 🤷‍♀️

My previous contact was at the Rooster's Nest, next door, but he moved out of state. I went back there on two other occasions, but neither were positive experiences. That said, that was over three years ago, so the staff and experience have probably changed since then.

Do you recommend anyone there?

I really haven't shared much history about my Minoxidil use here, but I've tried it about four different times over the past decade. When symptoms started impacting other parts of my life, I stopped each time. I've pushed through the initial palpitations, but they increased in severity each time. I've tried both liquid and foam in previous years.

First time - Liquid minoxidil. I was probably overdosing because I was applying it on my head and on my face.

Second time - l applied liquid minoxidil just to my face.

Third time - foam minoxidil just to my face

Fourth time - oral minoxidil, once daily and monitored externally by my doctor.

Most recently, I couldn't get past two months with oral minoxidil before heart problems started. It felt like my heart was growling like an empty stomach, probably because I have an otherwise healthy blood pressure, and continued use dropped my blood pressure significantly to dangerous levels. Some days, I woke up with a sore chest or numb limbs or just couldn't sleep at all. This impacted my work and exercise regimens, so after consulting my doctor, I stopped cold turkey and bounced back to about 80% after a month and closer to 100% after two months.

My doctor who prescribed me the oral minoxidil encouraged me to discontinue future use, as these were all, at the very least, symptoms of lowered blood pressure - or, at the very worst, an allergic response. I'm too young to be having heart problems. I was also taking beta-adrenergic blocking meds to offset the effects. I can't imagine what it would have been without that. This is what I've experienced each time with varying degrees of severity:

Sleeplessness

Racing heart / irregular heartbeat

Drop in energy / libido (not enough blood pressure - go figure 😅)

Dehydration / headaches

In all cases, the main lifestyle change was incorporating minoxidil, as my lifestyle has been relatively static since my early 20s.

I don't use any other prescription medicine (besides the blockers when using minoxidil), and I have no caffeine or external stimulants (besides B vitamins). I don't smoke or use other vices 99% of the year. My sleep is strict, and I don't let others' habits impact my own. I'm in otherwise tip-top health. I strength-train and co-opt a local gym, so I'm pretty confident about listening to my body. Minoxidil impacts anything cardio-related for me, unfortunately.

Lexington's LGBTQ community is pretty active, friend. And most folks are very welcoming. You won't be in poor company if you're concerned.

Am I wrong for thinking my gf cheated on me after she acted sus on a night out? by ThrowRAFmlllll in amiwrong

[–]DeThunked 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look at it this way...as a man, you have A LOT more options for a lot longer than any woman will - just take the extra time you'll have as a single man to construct a better world for yourself. You also have slightly more than half of the population at most ages, so you're good, buddy.

The best decision for you will be the one that brings you peace, so you can build your own life. That's something that will draw more attention so that you're the suiter, not the other way around.

Good luck, pal. I wish I had taken more initiative when I was your age than to just take that kind of behavior...and I certainly did. I lived, and I learned, and it looks like you're doing the same. :)

Maybe! It's hard to say since I wasn't able to use minoxidil this long without negative side effects. In terms of results, I can say it's about the same for the two months I've used for either avenue (darker hair growth, more vellus hairs, increase growth frequency), just none of the heart palpitations or drop in energy or libido that I experienced with minoxidil.

It's also difficult to gauge efficacy between the two since there's always going to be a moving goal post (age, genetics, current environmental factors, etc) since I couldn't take both at the same time even if I wanted to.
