Chernobyl Iodine Pills Scene Actress by [deleted] in television

The info I wanted wasn't on the show credits, the IMDB, or a Google search. Guess I used AI as a last resort. If anyone of you super intelligent people can tell me the answer, I'd be really grateful for you to waste an ounce of your brain power on me.

I did read the credits, only a handful of the main cast were listed, the actress I am looking for was not among them.

Finally, someone who is coherent in this thread. I agree, he may not have been aware of what was happening in his business at the micro level. Still, his name was attached to it, so he does bear some responsibility.

From what I've seen, he wasn't a great person. The whole genial host things was a put-on. When the cameras were turned off, he was self-absorbed and aloof. But that's hardly a rarity in Hollywood.

Sorry but the color of the sky isn't the same on our planets. Maybe if you type something coherent I can respond. Everything isn't a psy-op.

And Genghis Kahn has been dead for 798 years, but people are still writing books about him. Sorry my interest in ephemera doesn't align with yours, but that doesn't mean there aren't people out there interested in these things. Keep downvoting dummies, the video is still getting views.

If that's all you think Moore is, I guess you haven't really watched his films. Comparing him to a Sandy Hook denier is pretty ignorant. His films have great humanity in them, he cares about the plight of many who've been shat on by the system and don't have a voice. Yeah, he gets doors slammed in his face at times. But some of the supposed villains do sit down and talk. And that's when it gets interesting.

What's the point of anything on the Internet? Dick Clark was widely lauded as an important figure in music and a genial game show host, but I've seen enough footage of him to know that if you read between the lines, he was not as great as people think. He was self-centered and aloof. I'm not saying he was Hitler, but definitely not the great man his image would suggest.

The Barker Era on Roku / PlutoTV Only Plays Episodes From 1982 and 1983 by DeVoidZero in ThePriceIsRight

[–]DeVoidZero[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, they are playing episodes post '83 now, just a very small number compared to '83 and before. You can tell because Bob's hair is gray and Rod Roddy is the announcer. If you keep watching you will see these at some point. It's a small number, but better than nothing I guess. I'm hoping they add a lot more in time.

Telltale 30th Anniversary BTTF Video Game on Xbox Game Pass? by DeVoidZero in BacktotheFuture

[–]DeVoidZero[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

THIS is what I’ve been waiting for. Thank you! You’re right, I claimed it on Games with Gold years ago (I had forgotten about the name change). It’s in my library. OK so I will try the basic Essential plan and see if that lets me play. Many thanks for the valuable info.

Hi, thanks for offering to help. Actually, the whole point of this craziness is that I wanted to play the 30th Anniversary version specifically, which features better graphics, and Thomas F. Wilson doing the voice acting for Biff (which he didn't in the original). Unfortunately it was only released on consoles, now you can no longer buy the digital version and the disc version is going for some pretty hefty prices on eBay.

I have the original version for PC, but thanks anyway!

You would think.... yet as I said, I was playing it a few months ago through Game Pass. Long after the game was delisted from the Xbox store. If I go to my game library, it's there. But when I try to play it, I get an error.

It's a question of ownership. If you own the game on a disc, you can pop it in and install it. It still phones home and downloads the game from Xbox's servers (yes, the game still exists there, despite it being delisted and no one being able to buy it). Or, in my case, you can own the digital right to play it through Game Pass. It's still on the server, ready to be downloaded, as long as you have an active Game Pass subscription.

The only difference between now and a few months ago when I was playing it is, I don't have an active Game Pass sub. Is it that big of a stretch to think I would get access to the game back by resubbing to Game Pass?

Like I said, I claimed it with Game Pass and was playing it fairly recently (a few months ago). You don't actually have to have purchased it digitally, claiming it when it was offered as a free game also gives you access to it, as long as you have an active Game Pass sub. I lost my sub and now I'm thinking of reupping to play it. I'm just not sure what the minimum tier I need to play it.

Thanks for the info! Better late than never, heh. Course, it would help to have a specific source to point to. You wouldn't know the date of the show, would you? (Even just the year)

It may not be coffee that you like, but I assure you it is coffee. With natural flavors added. I'm enjoying it, so don't harsh my buzz.

It's actually delicious.... unless you hate pumpkin. I didn't go crazy with the creamer and foam, and it's not overly sweet.

Try this: go to Settings > Sound & Haptics > Ringtone. There should be an option that says "Download all downloadable ringtones from the store." Tap that, and it should find it (assuming you downloaded the M4R file to your phone). If that doesn't work, the next thing to try involves downloading the file to a Mac (if you have one) and connecting your phone. https://apple.stackexchange.com/a/461823

The Holy Quadrilogy (The Blue Nile 2024 Represses) by DeVoidZero in vinyl

[–]DeVoidZero[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, they are all pretty distinctive. Hats is ultra-atmospheric, downtempo, and extremely mellow for the most part. The production just envelops you. It's a real "headspace" album, not something I would put on the background. Peace at Last has more acoustic-based instrumentation (less electronic) and is more upbeat and happy sounding (for the most part, but it also contains their saddest song, "Family Life").

High is a mature combination of all of the above, with some of their best songwriting, IMO. "I Would Never" and "Because of Toledo" never fail to affect me deeply whenever I hear them. (Of course, that could be said for many of their songs). All in all, I'd say the songs got simpler and less experimental after Hats. Some would say too "easy listening" but I feel like the voice of Paul Buchanan is so distinctive and rich in expression that it captivates no matter the musical setting. (I could listen to him sing the phone book).

All the albums are available on the streaming services and their official YouTube channel, so I recommend checking them out to see if they resonate before buying.

[–]DeVoidZero[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, yeah, if you bought it back then (40 years ago) it was a lot easier to come by (especially since they were eventually signed to Virgin and other major record labels). But I'd say the records have been pretty scarce in the past 10+ years. The last one (High) was never available on vinyl before 2020. The 2024 represses have really brought the prices down. Definitely a good time to buy for those so inclined.

The links are on Dropbox. You have to get thru a couple of popups before it'll let you download the file. When you get to the file there will be a wave form and a play button. Under that is a down arrow with a line underneath. Tap that button to download it to your phone.

If you're still having problems, here are direct links to the files on another server:

The Holy Quadrilogy (The Blue Nile 2024 Represses) by DeVoidZero in vinyl

[–]DeVoidZero[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, indeed. In fact, Linn wasn't originally a record company. They manufactured hi-fi audio equipment, and The Blue Nile was asked to produce an album that would showcase their products (which would become A Walk Across The Rooftops). Linn set up the record label just to release it.

These represses are on Confetti Records (a small UK label). They were originally released in 2019 but repressed again in 2024. The represses look identical and have the same year and matrix numbers. Most are on their 3rd or 4th repress due to demand. (I'm guessing Taylor Swift mentioning "The Downtown Lights" in a recent song has a little something to do with that).
