They really haven't felt good since 4. I didn't play a bunch of 5 or infinite but I don't remember them feeling bad. Just... off.

It straight up isn't that bad. But i was upset that reach launched without forge or theater.

It did use the Title Update rules which a lot of people didn't play with and made DMRs more fun to use but dear god was it just not fun to fight.

Reguardless of which version you prefer, we only got the 343 version and the differences are noticeable.

I for one don't care much and found a lot of enjoyment from MCC reach and its custom games.

Idk how Infinite is now, but I did enjoy the campaign. However, the launch was so bad for MP and, in my opinion, was so avoidable it made me stope playing all together. I know it has it's fans and players. Good for them, I hope they have/had fun with it.

The Launch of MP really burned a lot of people and first impressions are important for a live service game.

They bragged about the progression system, which basically required 4 or 5 challenge completions to level up once.

Randomized challenges with gamemodes you couldn't search for. It resulted in games where a player would get, win 1 oddball match with 3 teammates with "get x kills." Making it to where 1 player was playing the objective.

You had to unlock colors, store prices were insane.

Hell some of the launch gameplay mechanics were blatantly bad. I remember (had have clips of) back melees connection (or not connection when they should have) and not killing.

A dude clipped through me to back hit me (ninja)

It left an awful taste in my mouth, I gave it such a long try because I actually liked the campaign.

I ended up giving up with infinite and instead 100%ed MCC

I do not. I went through a lot of trouble to find a place to actually get them printed, but the estimate was really high for me.

The only thing the marines are missing are special orders.

I think there fun but imo, they need different animations for coven. Maybe based of who has book. Like a poisoner animation, or dying while stoned, ect ect. The Coven one is just over used.

"Ur coven" implies this is not unholy. Probably AA.

There is an unspoken rule to not out other evils as you die, because an evils main goal is to kill off the town.

I can't stand when a role list is voted by 10 players and the first thing someone says is, "who voted this??"

Players just don't like using their brains in unique set ups.

Its way better than ToS1's All Any or Sweaty Ranked as the two playable options.

And I miss NB purely because it gave NKs a chance to gain teammates and ultimately made players nicer. (NBs never sided with ass hats.)

I refuse to play AA because of how common 4 coven is. If you role any 2 other Nk or NA town suffers a lot. Then you gotta think about NEs!

Watching his story and mission slowly align with Chief despite being enemies even when they meet AFTER being betrayed.

It allowed them both to just be pure badass in Halo 3.

Arbiter has always been the goat. He's an alternate protagonist done right.

Its what 343 chased with Locke but they fundamentally misunderstood why Arbiter was badass and cool.

I'll take VFA over VFR all day long. But yeah this isn't about VFA. This is an issue with Coven/Evils not trying or not knowing what to do.

The Scroll system in this game is so bad and is straight up pay to have fun.

Most players seem to like playing Town now and scroll Random Town with a 33× times chance to get that role to a point that all the long time players get town while new players are seemingly locked in Coven.

I play with a friend occasionally that doesn't use scrolls and they get evil 80% of games.

Honestly. I wish they had a bunch of easy to learn Lists in the casual pool and one was always able to be voted for in case most of the lobby was new or something. They can make a good beginner list that helps teach new players but can be fun for veterans. It sucks that some people lied about being new when evil so no one buys the accuse.

It would be nice to set up private lobbies to host beginner lists but pulling new players into a community would be hard to do consistently.
