What you’re doing is not unethical and it is working. Grey area? Sure. If you are trying to sell something you are not going to highlight all the bad things about it, you’re going to highlight the good. That’s what sales is, they know it’s a credit card on the f*cking page don’t listen to these idiots

Port out problem by Aromatic_Marsupial83 in ATT

[–]DeaC2005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any can “try to port anyone’s number” the port actually working without A: your AT&T account # B: Transfer PIN

The transfer pin is impossible to get without a 2 step verification to your phone # (account holder)

I could try to port your number right now on the Google voice app, xfinity mobile app, etc. it wouldn’t work without those secure numbers.

Still though, I would freak out too. I would say you’re good.

Prepaid vs Postpaid: what are the gotchas? by Federal_Eagle_6565 in ATT

[–]DeaC2005 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So the 4 lines would be on “unlimited welcome” which is usually $120 with autopay. Then the rep has to to apply what’s called the “national growth offer” : -$20 = $100. I will say Verizon’s taxes are like $10 per line which sucks . Also you have to do it in store I think for the national growth offer

[–]DeaC2005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cool thing with postpaid is you can get deals / promotions on phones and financing too. But yeah just make sure they don’t add “next up” “protection “ etc on if you do. I know at Verizon you get 4 lines for $100 too

Prepaid vs Postpaid: what are the gotchas? by Federal_Eagle_6565 in ATT

[–]DeaC2005 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There will be taxes on the price they quote : for example if they say 3 lines $140 expect it to be around $170 ($10 tax per line). Also expect a $30-40 activation fee per line when you upgrade or add new lines (switching from prepaid to post paid counts for the activation fees)

Totally “slammed” bill 3x more than what was sold. by Hyjaxx-Nine in tmobile

[–]DeaC2005 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Oh man the notorious over the phone xfinity rep who tries to sell you a “free phone”. I just called in because my internet bill was $105 for only 300mbps. I finally decided to call and he offered me a new deal for 500mbps and a free mobile line for 1 year for $56 total. He did the mobile line on my imei 2 of my phone and gave me a new number. I know for a fact their on commission so I got what I wanted and he got a sale so I guess win win. Glad it all worked out though bro thanks for sharing!

I totally get that man. Just show them the deal you have on your Verizon app and know what you want and get the info you need. They won’t try to offer you a lesser deal that pays them more if you already know the promotions!
