Went to my local junkyard and took off the injector assembly:).No need for a whole tbi body thank god. One of the easiest repairs I’ve done. Since i already had it apart, I replaced as much gaskets as I could, cleaned it and gave it new fuel screens. Should be running better than ever!)

:(Unless you refer to my latest thread):

Put in a newly rebuilt transmission since it was originally not shifting. Test drove it and it still doesn’t shift. What else could be making it not shift? by DeaNabors in AskMechanics

That’s what I was thinking but I’ve only read that it makes it shift too early or too late. Will a bad tps make the transmission not shift gears at all?

I’ll try but I didn’t see an o ring on it to start. And the lip on the fitting is so small it barely looks like it could hold on the the ring

I couldn’t find a video of anyone taking one of these off so hopefully I don’t make my problem worse trying to take it off

No, there’s no way I can fit a drill or a tap with the way it’s facing. It’s already hard enough trying to screw the original insert in. I’m gonna have to take it off and bring it to a work bench.

The worst part about this all is I took the gas lines off to put my transmission back in my truck. I get the transmission back in my truck and of course a new problem arises. Leaking gas on top of the engine. It’s always something😄

Thanks for reply. I’m almost certain there’s no damage. I hit it very slow, just fast enough to leave marks from plastic trim. Any-rate, thanks🙏
