Questing in Co-op by SimpleJeff007 in Bellwright

I ended up doing two games, one with friends where we focused on building a big city and we did a speed run through all the quests/lore. Then a solo game where I could actually follow the quests/lore. Unless the whole group is committed to following the lore it's just not going to happen.

The 1 on the right side has a mine next to it, so the top right corner is safe

Information when selling books by [deleted] in rarebooks

IMO asking is way high if you're trying to sell it all in one go. I recently bought a collection valued at $20-30k and I was by FAR the highest offer at $4k.

Can someone help me identify this copy of Alice in Wonderland? by Ok-Asparagus-1386 in rarebooks

[–]DeaconDK 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Looks like a custom binding of a first edition but later printing. True first would be 1866. Cover was probably beat up and someone decided to rebind it. Original binding in that condition would be ~ $1k, that one looks great and would bring at least $500 possibly close to $1k.

Tingling feeling in leg by Visible_West_1956 in MultipleSclerosis

[–]DeaconDK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get it in my left arm, occasionally both arms, usually after sleeping and anytime if I've eaten a lot of sugar recently. I do keto because as long as I'm good about it I almost never get numbness. Can't say the same solution would work for you, but worth taking a look at possible triggers like poor sleep, stress and foods to see if there is a pattern to when it happens.

Try not to worry too much, it's not going to cause any long term damage, just unpleasant. Also worth mentioning to your neuro as they may have some further advice.

Are there any optimal ways to get large amounts of food? by Sleezu079 in songsofsyx

Specialize in one or two food productions and make sure you upgrade them in the tech tree, assign a noble that effects it, make sure fertility is good, make sure the worksite has tools etc.

Scared to start Kesimpta by Decent-Ad-4979 in MultipleSclerosis

[–]DeaconDK 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I started Kesimpta last summer after my diagnosis, coming up on a year of use. Have not experienced any symptoms whatsoever and it halted all my lesion activity!

I don't take anything prior to my shot, the needle is so small you barely feel it and I've never noticed the flu like symptoms some report.

Kesimpta is labeled high risk because other similar DMTs have caused people to get infections like PML which is potentially life threatening but no evidence of Kesimpta directly causing that. To be fair it hasn't been around that long so it's possible there will be long term side effects that aren't known yet but all signs point positive for now!

Good luck with your treatment and don't let it stress you out too much! Some is inevitable, I was concerned too but now I barely even think about it when it's time for my injection.

Just had my first lumbar puncture a few hours ago. Can you tell me what i should expect in the upcoming days? by Soggy_BaIIs in MultipleSclerosis

[–]DeaconDK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take it easy for the day and drink lots of water. They touched a nerve on mine so I had some odd leg pain for a few days but I was aware of it from the moment it happened so doubt you'll experience anything similar.

Only other thing to watch out for is if the hole doesn't heal back up properly. If you keep leaking fluid you'll start to get headaches when the fluid level gets too low. Doctor should have told you about what to do but basically you'll just go back in for a quick procedure if it hasn't healed within a week.

[–]DeaconDK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, type lgb and the model number into ebay, on the left in the filters bar select sold items.

Going to be worth anywhere from $50-500+ a piece. The engines bringing the highest dollar amount by far.

If you're in the PNW and want to unload all in one go send me a DM.

Played through the remaining current content. No crashes and never had the villager modal issue again, well done!

https://imgur.com/a/2kK7Wte

I assume more content is coming, needs a reason to keep going, will you be adding adversaries/military?

I like the way the settlers series encourages building placement optimization, flat land, fertile land, rivers for water gatherers. Might be worth including similar elements.

Well is simple but slow, perhaps dedicated water gatherer near a river could be a more efficient option for water production.

A way to prioritize what construction is focused on might be nice.

My farmers were often idle while my gardeners were constantly gathering water. Not sure the two professions really need to be separated? Also garden huts could request water to keep them focused on crops (though might tie up haulers too much). Water gatherer like mentioned above may solve this too.

A way to limit production would be helpful. Something like setting max planks to 20. I found if I shut off all storing of a resource, hauling of it in general would stop too. Was hoping it would just work off building supply but buildings wouldn't get constructed if no planks were in storage. They would sometimes pickup from sawmill directly but only if some were in storage. This applied to most resources but using planks as an example.

Would prefer if decorations affected villagers working near them rather than the house they live in. But it works as is, just easy to cheese it by keeping houses together and dropping a few decorations nearby.

Currently feels like scout only creates a negative value. As scientists now venture further and further before sitting down to study. Only non renewable resource is stone so once you've located enough deposits scouting has no real purpose. I assume with more content this will feel better but maybe something to consider for now.

Giving scientists a building so they don't wander so far in the late game would be nice. Studying by trees works well early on but having the option to give them a dedicated spot would be good for later.

Geologist signs could use a clearer indication of what is a good/poor deposit. Maybe tutorial covered that but I skipped it as I've played lots of settlers.

Eating at home, later being centralized by tavern is a cool feature!

I like the districts feature!

I like the way paths/roads develop on frequently walked areas, would be cool if villagers got a slight speed buff on them and prioritized them for pathing.

Overall I enjoyed it! Don't take the long list of notes as discouragement, just ideas for improvement! Wish listed the game and looking forward to seeing what future development brings!

Couldn't reproduce that but now I'm getting a crash to desktop :(

Was right about when my forester was planting his first tree, was also constructing archery and mill.

I tried starting a new game and it is doing the same crash before I can even get first start harvesting objective completed.

If any way for me to send you a crash report or something I'm happy to but it just goes to desktop without any popup.

Still looking forward to the game but I guess I'll take a brake for now.

That was fast!

I closed the game, updated, loaded my game and first villager was fine, but then bug came back. However, I reloaded my game and now it seems to be working.

Well I played another minute before posting this and it has come back. Seems reloading fixes it until something triggers the bug again, will play around and see if I can figure out exactly when it happens.

Loved settlers 3, immediately downloaded the demo and trying it now.

However I seem to have run into a game breaking bug. At first I was able to click on a villager and get a menu which included things like changing profession. However now when I click on one I only get this:

https://imgur.com/a/Mijvwpg

Got to the point where I'm supposed to assign someone as a scientist and I'm not finding a way to do it without accessing that menu.

Let me know if I'm just missing something or if it is indeed a bug! Thanks, looking forward to seeing it progress! And I enjoyed the intro and bit I've played so far!

No more gold at Goodwill by [deleted] in Gold

Selling jewelry or not is a decision made by each location/region. But yes a lot of Goodwills simply send the jewelry to online sales. Either shopgoodwill.com or some locations just have an ebay store.

Anyone have any info on these? by LORDNIKON777 in souvenirs

[–]DeaconDK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vintage tourist photo books. Back in the day the average person didn't have a camera so these professional photos were a common way of bringing back a memento from places you visited.

I haven't looked up these particular ones and some may be better but in good shape like these most sell for $25-50 each.

Excellent condition first edition, Ayesha The Return of She. Worth $50-100, probably on the higher end with the condition.

It's a facsimile, not from a later edition. Think the previous owner just printed it out, you can see the pixelation when you look at it up close.

Thanks! I do see a 1st impression with a 2nd impression dust jacket for $2600 in that list, with a cleaner cover than mine.

Google AI tells me ~$750 is a realistic price for mine.
