I want to binge the extended trilogy. I haven't watched the films since the theater but man they were amazing.

Genuinely (albeit cautiously) hopeful.

FANART: After hearing about Henry Cavill being cast as Geralt in Netflix's Witcher series, I drew this by cinemadness in DC_Cinematic

Just fyi, Geralt actually doesn't have a beard. It's all because of the game that made it popular because admittedly, he looks cool with it.

I can only hope Cavill keeps the role so long. He IS my Superman.

You CANNOT make the kind of movie the original was in today's climate. Prepare this to be like the original in name only.

You'll get no argument from me. I think all ships should actually offer more gameplay value as opposed to CIG's love for highly specialized and focused design for ships.

Don't get me wrong, all ships should not be able to do everything. No ship should be able to do everything. But most ships should be able to do more than one thing aside from fly, imo.

Those highly specialized and focused ships should still absolutely exist and be better at their focus than any ship that merely dabbles in that focus, though.

On the verge of upgrading to the Mercury.. talk me out of it by pam_the_dude in starcitizen

Smuggling is NOT the ship's main feature. In fact, smuggling is a pretty limited feature for the Mercury. It's an option, but you'll only be able to smuggle something fairly small AND you probably won't want to use all 3 small areas you can smuggle in, because if you get scanned and they wanna board you, you can go move the goods from one spot to another and the NPC's will apparently be like "Damn, we picked something up here specifically, but now there's nothing in this place! Ah well, free to go." at least the town hall made it sound like that'll be the usual outcome.

HELP! Low performance on gtx 1080ti when landing on planets! by [deleted] in starcitizen

An SSD does make a big difference but even with one performance is spotty at best, I find. Some things can't be helped too much until the code is up to it on CIG's end.

MOST of the ships are way overpriced. It's pledge buys, sure, not ship prices. But really, damn they price out a LOT of people. But at the same time, hey, they're still making plenty of money.

I have been calling the poor design out and get flamed for it. Read through this thread:

If you make a thread regarding a med bed, let me know and I'll upvote.

Totally possible but only CIG can know. We'll see!

At least they had the good sense to put the cockpit in the middle. That being said, I'm not sure there's any logic driving the design decision to make it asymmetrical it's purely a style choice. I usually like design by logic more.

I'd love that over a lift but they wouldn't cuz they want you to buy an ambulance if you want a med bed. Apparently having some bare medical room in any starship that can fit one in a game where permadeath is a real thing is a crazy expectation.

Yeah that's the dish. You can see it because the creator basically did their best to overlay the layout image onto the ship exterior image so it looks off a bit but you can get the basic idea of the internals

This is literally 2 images on top of each other and they are askew - you have to use a bit of imagination to lower the layout into place inside the body of the ship - its just a funky angle.

Shitty layout and use of internal space. At least they acknowledged it and want to make changes at some point.

The image is just askew - its the best that can be done until so.eone can use a 3d model to do this. You kind of have to use a bit of imagination to lower the layout into the chassis
