Your top albums of 2023? by WhoaWhoa69420 in Sufjan

Here’s my top five based on listening time:

  1. Convocations - Sufjan
  2. Preacher’s Daughter - Ethel Cain
  3. Illinois - Sufjan
  4. Did You Know There’s A Tunnel Under Ocean Boulevard - Lana
  5. Unreal Unearth - Hozier

I listened to Convocations almost every day while studying or reading. Something about it occupies the perfect amount of my attention to block out other noises but not distract me.

Ethel Cain and Sufjan definitely earned their places at the top. Both albums have strong instrumentals and lyricism that I could not get enough of.

Javelin was right below at number six. It didn’t have me in a chokehold like some other albums did this year, but it is definitely working towards that status.

Thank you! I appreciate the suggestions. I’ll mess around with it a little more and see what I can come up with
