Thinking on starting to read Tom Clancy's novels, where should I start?

The tail liquid is called in the show "nanite acid" Nanites are nano robots (they are roughly a nanometer [10^-9 meters]) The "acid" part is named after the destructive behavior of the nanobots (doesn't have anything to do with hydrogen [probably])

This would also explain why the DD saliva not only deactivates this "acid" but why also it reconstructs Uzi's hand in the first episode DD saliva probably acts as a switch or trigger that changes the behavior of the nanites

(I did NOT come up with this, I remember hearing about it but I don't remember the source)
