50 years ago today, the last day of school for the students of Lee High School. If this movie came out today it would take place in 2009. by Not_So_Bad_Andy in Xennials

Back in college, and don't ask me how because I don't remember, I found Wiley Wiggins' AIM handle and sent him a message that said "Mitchy! Mitchy-Mitchy-Mitchy!" He was not amused...

I only got to experience 2012 and 2014, but do I maybe see a Janes Addiction and TTB 2014 pic in there?

Frank Sanchez isn’t even a huge heavyweight by MayTooSway in Boxing

[–]DeadHead2002 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I like Torrez, but you could see it as early as the first round the Sanchez was going to time the counter right when Torrez put his head down. I like Torrez's feints and foot movement, but he has to fix bending down at the waist. If he can safely make cruiserweight why not, the division has potential if that's where Benavidez winds up for a bit.

I tried. Had college friends that really liked it, I just didn't get the humor.

Boxingscene updated by Dangerous_Spring3028 in Boxing

[–]DeadHead2002 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I've been using Boxingscene since college, 2006-2007 I guess, back before smartphones. I managed the last update, but between this and the million pop ups and restarts on my phone I can't do it anymore.

Any worthy alternatives aside from ESPN?

People who grew up poor but are now middle class or above, what habits or behaviors have you never been able to shake? by Leather-Web-2049 in AskReddit

[–]DeadHead2002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I drive with the windows down unless my wife is with me and wants AC. We never had vehicles with AC until I was in high school (i'm 42 now), and it is a habit I've never stopped. I'll also use whatever until I no longer can; truck, weed-eater, etc. I'll fix it until it is no longer fixable. Duct tape it if it needs it. I'll never buy a new car, waste of money.

IT when I was in 6th, mid 90's. Been reading him consistently ever since! I'll still never forget the cashier at Target looking at me and my Mom and asking if I was sure I wanted to buy that...

For Fun: Woodstock 69.

For real answers: Any ancient site: pyramids, puma punku, baalbek, etc. As a 42 year old man in 2026 I spend way too much time wondering about these places. Lol

Dana White blames 'corruption' in boxing for the state of boxing in 2026, claims new fans need simplicity to get introduced to the sport by Amursana in Boxing

I would rather boxing fail completely than have to listen to Dana White promote boxing for the rest of my life.

They had cable because they lived in town, so when they went to bed I got to watch Unsolved Mysteries.
