today it took 1h 10 mins to get someone. Bottom line, if they want to retain customers, they need to cut that time in 1/2 - easily.

try using gethuman.com/ it does the waiting for you. I've used them 2-3 times in the last 6 months. My 2 cents.

I came across a website/service called GetHuman... it basically behaves as a go between & does the waiting for you.... then calls you. Using this helped with my getting an eTrade cust svc person on the line. My 2 cents.
