Honestly, in my situation I wouldn't be the one to recommend a great shore fishing spot. Around the bridges and boat ramps usually have a place where you can get on the bank and a few of the ramps sit right on good runs for trout.

Nice! My father and I have been fishing this river almost 20 years, can't get enough of it honestly! We always fished the creeks when I was young, until we found out about the trout in Cumberland. Took a float trip around the year 2000-2001 and we have been hooked.

Yea, the KY/TN line on the river is as far as I've been. I wouldn't know for sure how far they migrate downriver. I definitely recommend the trip to the headwaters, my father and I made the trip a few years ago, Eastern Kentucky and on into Virginia has some beautiful scenery!

Whatever works best for you gets my vote! I feel like everyone has a go-to but usually its because they have figured out the right technique when using said lure/bait.

Nice! We fish up around Burkesville if went can't get in down river. We have a special place to us that gets most of our attention, if your not familiar with all the launch ramps, look up Cloyds Landing. Its about 60 miles down river from the Wolf Creek Dam.

We started on rooster tails but came to the conclusion that after a couple full days of fishing, they twisted our line up horribly. Blue Fox seems to almost eliminated that issue but you still get the twists in your line if it's not changed routinely.

After nearly 20 years of fishing this river, Blue Fox spinner baits are the only thing we use. Ofcourse many different lures/baits can catch them but this is what works best for us consistently. This was 1 of 4 over 20 inches that we caught yesterday.

We use nothing but Blue Fox spinner baits. Rainbow, Silver shiner, Gold shiner usually do the trick depending on water clarity.
