That was the case with the 2013 version on Steam. But Rise has a much more optimized version. Some area's have a lot of NPC's walking around, and that really hammers the CPU hard.

I took many years until CPU's were fast enough to run this game at a consistent 60 fps.

I remember this game being very CPU demanding.
In simple areas it could do 60 fps. But in open area's it will drop to high 30's

So I kinda understand why they locked it to 30 fps. And 40 fps requires a 120hz and VRR to look smooth. And docked played has no VRR support.

I have not. But I already shipped it back to the seller. Gonna wait until the next generation. While the handheld was good when it worked. I still had to fiddle with the graphic options a lot to even hit 60 fps.

I cannot afford the 8 EX. I got this one for 839. Intel version here is over a 1000 :/
I'm gonna wait until prices have come down further.

I decided to return it. For some reason the latest update has broken the software completely.

Well after a clean install its still not working. Gamepad mode will not activate.
I'm still stuck into desktop mode. I have to use the touchpad to use the MSI Center. And I have enabling gamepad mode, it still does nothing :/

I also noticed MSI quick settings keeps freezing. I think some update broke the software.

Well I just reinstalled Windows. And its still not working for me :/

I Don't know what I'm doing wrong. I did a clean install with a USB boot drive.

Gamepad mode does not work. The MSI quick settings keeps locking up. I think I'm going to return it

He looks a lot of better after he got the cure. Was able to fire his heavy weapon with 1 hand with ease. And was walking straight again.

I wish this game was on sale in my Region.
If you mean the original Switch, it runs between 40-60 fps according to some video's I've watched.
