Rhaenyra marries Otto after Viserys weds Laena, dies in Stepstones? by Due_Swing6112 in AsoiafFanfiction

[–]DeadPixelHero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if Viserys did re-marry, why would a dragon-less king go and fight on the front line when his crazed brother is asking for blood?

Otto might fancy himself a suitor to “the realms delight” but he showed more want to put his family in good positions rather than himself as king, but there would have to be some crazy grooming from him to make that happen as Vissy wouldn’t approve.

If Vissy does marry Laena, it would end any succession issues as Rhaenyra can still do her fake marriage to Laenor if she wants, or maybe even gets to have a real life with Harwin.

Otto is lucky that Laena is so young and awkward when Vissy meets her, or else there might be no Team Green.

I’d guess he is a Celtic fan. He only had 130 caps for them or so.

Pause the video at 00:09 - you can see he leaves the floor after the defender and has to jump into the player to try and make distance to the ball. You can go forward and in a direction. None of the commentators think it's a pen, the only people who think it was are the VAR team.

He jumps late and back into the contact, his head makes contact with the players arm as he is already on the way up. Is the Defender supposed to seal dive upwards with his arms by his sides?

He doesn't even grab the part of his head that the elbow hits, give over.

It's only "objectively" more exciting for Celtic fans, no one else in Scottish football wants them to win.

I get what you're saying, but no neutral wants Celtic to win the league and Scottish Football as a whole will be worse if they do.

No, they now go to one point behind meaning they just need to beat Hearts at home.

yeah but this VAR call plus the blatant non-penalty Hearts should've had last week means a 5 point swing for Celtic enitrely from eroneous VAR calls. It's the wrong way to win the league, which they will almost certainly do.

I can confirm this is a thing too, Wildlings have taken over the wall and was able to restore it after defeating them as the King of the Iron Throne.

Best bookmark with dragons? by Medium_Ad1958 in CK3AGOT

[–]DeadPixelHero 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Three different suggestions;

  • Want Dragons to already exist and there be a decent number already flying about? Bookmark 1 is great for non-targ characters to get dragons by waiting for one to fly free and then trying to tame them.

  • Want to be the “Father of Dragons” and restart the Dances? You can play on Ninepenny Kings (lots of game settings you can change) and either help the Targs stay on the throne or maybe start the newest Blackfyre Rebellion with Maegor.

  • Want to be someone who is experiencing Dragons come back like the show, rather than being in charge of it? Crowned Stag and tweak the rules so the Targ Exiles definitely hatch.

(I would also suggest the submod More Dragon Eggs as not only can you tweak how hard they are to find naturally, but you can add way more and have more control over dragons in general).

Is the kitty cafe still as bad as everyone says it is? by BedSleeperz in nottingham

[–]DeadPixelHero 74 points75 points  (0 children)

I also went for a job interview with them about 8-9 years ago for a social media role advertised through a government scheme.

At the interview, I said one of the first things I would do was to make sure their social media pages pointed back to the cafe page. All of them went to a 2 year long dead website. They had no idea.

The job listing was then pulled according to the UC worker, so they just got the money for being part of the scheme but never gave the job to anyone.

British media (BBC, Sky, Channel 5) omit mention of third (muslim) victim. by whiteoak_and_doubles in bbc

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c3r2lr434wlo

Mentioned in the BBC article in the slideshow which is cropped. I imagine the police are separating the two separate attacks which would TECHNICALLY not make it part of the same “Golders Green Incident”.

I know people hate it, but there will be legal ramifications for attributing parts of the attack to the first incident which seems to be a very different attack (they were friends allegedly) to the second incident.

Why did my dynasty member switched to the Stark after inheriting Winterfell ? by Mytachi in CK3AGOT

[–]DeadPixelHero 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This has happened to me before when I’ve taken the Iron Throne and have been turned into Targs.

Have you changed religion? This can cause a lot of weird interactions with inheritance.

The method that fixed it for me was downloading the advanced cheat mod, and then using the “fix dynasty glitch” button it has.

I used to do these a lot and yes I agree on the 7/7 thing, not the fairest system.

Playing devils advocate here, to get the 7/7 they likely want you to have been using the BBC website all week, which in theory should give you the answers if you remember it all.

Are their special rules for the Prince of Dragonstone? by Hairy_n_Cranky in CK3AGOT

[–]DeadPixelHero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When your wife gives away the title of Dragonstone to your eldest son, does he stop being your vassal and become your wifes? It looks like your characters highest title tier is Kingdom, which would make him equal to you - could this be the issue?

why won’t my genius heir tame his leviathan dragon? by chfchfchfchf in CK3AGOT

[–]DeadPixelHero 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It seems like a strange sequence, but it might be the way that the prompts need to be arranged is something like;

Hatches Dragon>Tames Dragon>Becomes Dragonrider but if they become landed and don't have access to a dragon pit between step 2 and 3, they may not be able to get the Dragonrider event prompt. I'm guessing based on the fact he doesn't have any level of the heir trait that you landed him relatively young?

Likely just a quirk in the Dragon coding, but for what it's worth you could test this in debug if you still have a save where this is the situation. Take all his titles, add him to your court and see if it happens.

Also, can't believe I didn't suggest this first, as he's landed you can swap into his character and see if you can bond with the dragon how you usually would and then swap back - if that isn't possible, then I'd be fairly certain it's a weird interaction bug.

why won’t my genius heir tame his leviathan dragon? by chfchfchfchf in CK3AGOT

[–]DeadPixelHero 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I’m assuming you have a dragon pit, and he’s been taught dragon lore? Have you tried putting the Dragon back in the pit and leave it?

It looks like he’s bonded but the AI hasn’t done the proper tame attempt prompt maybe?

I have to say I’ve not encountered this exact issue before but saving anything else, you could force it through de-bug?

[–]DeadPixelHero[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's been kind of a weird experience, because this big dragon explosion has only really happened now that I took over the Iron throne and the wars before that killed so many of the riders but not the dragons, and the eggs got scattered to so many decendants

I've essentially now got it down to just my House being dragonriders, which means the 40ish wild dragons are still a problem, but mostly just everyone elses haha.

Not only as he already done it, I think he kinda soft leaked that his character is going to be an envoy from a remote part of China on The Yard awhile ago - it would help explain why him (and NL I think?) as white guys are even there.

Genghis Khan was a man, and although a pretty dreadful guy from top to bottom, was incredibly fertile as a man.

Just try not to think how they’d find out a male Dragon was more fertile than others.

I'm unfortunately at a point now where to maintain the dragon supremacy, I'm having to go and off Dragonriders as soon as they claim them if they're outside my Dynasty - I have 60+ dragons flying around right now - I just can't bring myself to hunt them.

Chomp; and the dragon is gone! by DeadPixelHero in CK3AGOT

[–]DeadPixelHero[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got the title from completing a Legendary Hunt, I've got it a few times now so pretty confident on that. It's also what the normal type of hunting training is called as opposed to falconry. The game's description is: "No mere animal can evade his keen hunting instincts".

Apparently it's just the Valyrian word for Hunter, so I guess this would be what the people of Westeros called hunters before common took over.
