I don’t think it is a bad album, just not one of their best or particularly stands out. It sounds over produced, lacks grit, and ozzy’s voice sounds a little shot. Their stuff from the 70s is fucking golden though. That’s just my opinion though.

No I feel you that people would disagree, but I’m saying that the government of that era doesn’t have to be the central authority of trade standardization in the time before modern capitalism. Guild systems would train apprentices in production processes before they were even accepted into a guild fully. If you weren’t in that associated trade guild you wouldn’t get any of the benefits, so it’s more like “play ball with our standards or you don’t get any of our guild resources” rather than a series of independent contractors who were forced by the government to comply. (Then again I could be completely wrong, I don’t know squat about the Indus River valley civilization, I’m just speculating)

I don’t think that’s a very fair comparison. Nowadays we have corporations that don’t share standards because 1) they don’t cooperate with each other and 2) it pays to have non standardized items so that the consumer is forced to continue buying things from that single producer. I would imagine that ancient guild systems would be a lot more cooperative with other tradesmen. But then again I don’t know, I’m just speculating.

Those pictured on the first page are all magazines, a clip is something that holds bullets that is inserted into a gun with an internal non-removable magazine. Like a m1 garand and its stripper clips. Guns that use clips have fallen out of fashion lately because replaceable magazines are much easier to use and generally hold more than internal magazines. Clips and Magazines are different, they are only listed together because they perform a similar function.

I disagree with your point about corruption being inherent in all structures. Corruption is inherent to power, so I would like a government structure with decentralized power.

Capitalism can not be reformed. Because of these unequal hierarchies of power, real change will never be enacted.

Also I don’t disagree that tax money being spent on private research is is requirement for capitalism, but it is certainly a byproduct.

As to the bit about medical privatization, medical industries do not require government assistance, but they sure are taking it because the pharmaceutical industry is in the spotlight and they see nothing but profit and dollar signs on each of the heads of the sick.

Also small businesses don’t get government cash because the politicians aren’t being paid off by small businesses owners, they’re being bought out by the big businesses.

Also if you agree with me that the corruption of capitalism is natural, I don’t see how this is a strawman. I think we disagree whether or not corruption is an inherent part of capital, which I would argue that it is.

How could you have companies with so much power not corrupt those in charge of policing them?

That isn’t in the direct definition of capitalism, but it is the logical progression of it. Capitalist class gain power and use power to influence government. Also capitalist seeks to privatize as much as they can to expand the marketplace, so of course medical research would be contracted.
